What do you think of female routes in otome games?

I've played this game too. I don't really mind it either way , the game itself doesn't have much romance content to begin with. But I will grind the other character's affection to max to unlock their story events, though I wouldn't go out of my way to watch their final endings. This game just has way too many endings.

Volcano Princess is somewhat similar to Magical Princess , it's not a traditional otome game.
 
I don't mind them at all, but really i'm fine with any pairings - for me, I don't have any major game turn-offs, so it's an "anything goes" kind of thing. Plus, it's not like there arent a bunch of quite old otomes with f/f routes. I'm usually semi-attracted to the MCs anyway.
 
Well... Im not fan of it. I dont really play those routes and i find it as a waste of the budget. Instead, I would prefer for them to deepen the other characters' stories.
 
I don't usually find female routes that interesting, to be honest. I agree that they often feel more like an extended friendship route than a proper route. I think I'd be much more interested if she were actually a romantic option, or if she had a genuinely interesting story of her own that added something meaningful to the overall story.
 
I dont mind them but I also dont want it to be the main focus of the game; I pick up otome cause its an fem mc romancing male li (˵◝ ⩊ ◜˵マ
