Do you finish all routes? Or games you have quit in middle

I am not proud to admit that I have quit few games in middle cause of being busy with work and having less free time in general and I was a completionist before too. Lover pretend didn't feel like playing Kazuma and Asagi routes so I quit. Hakuouki too I didn't play one of the new guys route. It makes me feel very guilty but I just can't continue sometimes if there's no more LI that interests me so the games just indefinitely unfinished.

Honestly, I feel like it's completely valid to DNF (did not finish) routes or even whole games. (´。• ω •。`)
At the end of the day, it's supposed to be fun, and if you have limited time, why spend it on something that's not bringing you joy?

As for me, I tend to be a completionist for the most part, though if I really can't stand a route, I'll just skip my way through it (sorry, Kaoru Rindo...) and go on with another route I like better, LOL. For me it's mostly about getting the shape of the entire game as in otome individual routes often fit into the overarching story and make it much richer than it would have been otherwise. ヾ(・ω・*)ノ

As guilty as it makes me feel, I cant bring myself to play routes with LIs im not interested in. Ill just play through it constantly thinking about and missing my favourite LIs 😭 worse part is when they show up on that route and it feels like seeing an ex... I dont think any of my otome games are 100% completed for this reason 😭

I try to finish all routes as much as I can, but there are some games that have been put to the backburner and are waiting to be played again hahaha.

For example, I have not finished clock zero because the routes were long, especially the common route and then I got to lazy to redo that for the other LIs. I also did not bother to play all routes for Heart no Kuni no Alice because there are too much...

Honestly, if I dont like the LI, I dont feel so bad not completing a route. At the end of the day, I'm playing for fun. It does bother me at times but then I read a review of their route and go 'oh well glad i skipped it 😛".

I alternate between playing the routes of characters I'm interested in and those I'm not; this prevents me from finishing my favorites too early and losing the motivation to complete the full collection. This method has worked well for me so far—especially since the characters I fall for at first sight tend to be the ones tied to the "truth" route, meaning they are always saved for last.

I always clear all routes to know the entire story.
Even if I get triggered or don't like something about it.

I am a completionist so I do clear all the routes because I like to see what the whole story has to offer. If I really don't like a route I tend to just click through the dialogue faster. There's nothing wrong with dropping a game you're no longer interested in though, you could be spending that limited free time having fun playing a different game after all.

I used to not even start some of the routes but recently I found that it's better to just skip the not "attractive" routes and stop at some "key" points that might be interesting. Recently games usually hide fragments of "truth route" into several individual routes so better not to miss those key parts~

Me too, unless the game really makes me remember it, I will finish it as soon as possible, otherwise it feels strange.

I always try to complete all of the routes the game has to offer. If the game or the route gets boring after a while, I try to play a small part of it each time so I get to finish it without exhausting myself, or skim through it, or sometimes both.

I always try to complete every route. Every love interest brings a different perspective to the story, and I feel like I'd be missing out if I skipped anyone. Plus, I love unlocking the true route, extra stories, and all the bonus content, so I'm usually aiming for 100% completion.

It depends on how much the locked route relies on the other routes. For example, to understand Vilio's route in Radiant Tale, I was able to skip a few characters that didn't catch my attention and still enjoy his route. Maybe I'll go back and play the ones I skipped someday, but I don't have much time, and I'm not really into replaying games, so... oops

It depends. That's exactly why I read reviews. If there's a Genki character, 80% of the time the route doesn't make sense. It makes me feel like I'm wasting my time. So I have several games I haven't finished:

- Radiant Tale: I haven't done any routes. I gave up; it just wasn't my kind of game. I could never finish Radie's route.

- Piofiore: I only did Yang, Dante, and Nicola's routes. I didn't like Dante and Nicola, and the long cooking scenes definitely weren't my thing, haha.

- Collar x Malice: I never did Mineo's route.

- Code Realize: I could never finish the common route.

And well, I think I could go on. If I see that the route isn't important for a character by default, I don't like it. I just read the review and see how important it is.

I'm a completionist who loves to play through all the characters, but I don't have much time now, so my progress is slow, but I'm still keeping at it.

I've encountered characters I wasn't interested in before, but after completing the game, I fell in love with them and played through all the good and bad endings without regret, still feeling unsatisfied.

Now, the game's hidden characters or multi-playthrough endings have requirements based on the number of characters completed, and there are bonus events after completing them all, which adds to the enjoyment.

If you don't have much time, using a walkthrough is the most efficient way, as long as you don't miss the exciting parts of each character's route.

i did not finish hHakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom after playing kazama's route after heisuke's one , for two reasons i enjoyed too much the ending with kazama and also it's a good reason to comeback and play the other routes it's an open book for me and i will maybe one day comeback !

I'll definitely try to finish everyone's route, but if I'm not feeling the Li or route I just put it in the backlog until I want to play it. Or else they just stay in the backlog (ahem... charade maniacs..)

i make it a rule to finish the game once i start playing! because i quite often find myself in situations where i don't like a route/character or maybe the whole game at the beginning but in the middle i completely change my mind like "oh it wasn't as bad as i thought...". also i'm a completionist so... i just can't stand seeing 99% on the completion status ><
