Has anyone learned dating tips by listening to otome dramas or reading otome manga?

Highly depends on a person, but helped me in my "courting", so works for me. )
lol yes that tip does work to hook the one you're aiming for sure, it's just not the type of bait you'd want to use in the long run.

The one that falls for food might not be worth your efforts cooking for them and might be there just for food and others benefits. That's what I meant.

Manga and dramas aimed at women express "women's ideals." Therefore, if you are looking for pointers for a date, I think it would be more effective to read manga aimed at men to understand "men's ideals." That said, I believe the best approach is simply to ask your partner what they are looking for in a date.

I would say that, I didn't pick up dating tips from the otome manga/game/drama, but it did teach me something like "what kind of people will be popular", all I need to do is just to perform well. All popular heroines share some common personalities, even popular MLs are also kind of similar. The form of expression vivify this specific type of people in details, but also only abstracts the most obvious element, makes it easy for me to imitate. I guess many people have try to learn something, or have been excited, from idols or people who they respect, the character from otome game influence me in a similar way.

And, though they didn't teach me how to date, they did tell me how to make boys happier in a way that I could accept. It's a bit weird that I know such thing form otome game but not from TV dramas or films, even not gals. I'm not sure the reason though. Maybe it's because the otome game is played in first person perspective, so the script will describe more on how the heroine will be affected by what kind of behaviours? It's just, I can't help with myself to feel exhausted when I clearly find which specific behaviour has left a good impression to him.

Instead of randomly copy the same behaviour from a fiction, I guess it is more useful to think why this kind of behaviour will work , and comparing them with reality to see why sometimes they will not. Well though I speak like this, otome game is designed for girl to enjoy a romantic love right? I shall not think about any physically real man when I enjoy the game ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

Guy 1
There was a dude who I was friends for 3 years and I went to his house I was mad at him for something he lied about to my other friend I went to his house tried to argue with him i don't remember the reason I was mad for after that this guy suddenly kabedon me and tried to kiss me of course I pushed him away and punched him in the stomach and his back and his mom saw it and asking what happened I just ran away at his house never seen him again after that

Guy 2
I was friend with him when I was a toddler we shared class multiple times I remember I was at class sitting alone this guy went behind me suddenly hold my hand that using a Ballpen and he was saying romantic lines to me and his friends was behind the door I could obviously see them there were giggling like crazy I was creeped out and i didn't do to this anything to this situation I didn't want to get scolded by the teacher, many years later I was told by someone this guy got a girlfriend I was glad he finally got one and the girl ended up looking like me I was like what the hell

Guy 3 or 4
There was a dude I used to have a crush used for no reason I remember he was my second crush and I acted like a cringe anime girl that goes kya kya and my friend support me and tries to let me and him together this guy look obviously uncomfortable I didn't notice it I don't remember otome stuff I did with him before same with crush number 1 if I could go back in time I would punch myself for all cringy thing I did

Yeah romantic stuff are better in fiction

I would like to click the laugh emoji but not sure wether it is offensive,,,,. Yeah I guess that's why fiction is fiction, and in the real world there is just so many elements we can't control, or should I just say, the people in real world has too more secret thoughts than the ficional roles to meet a pure romantic love. Sometimes I feel that, romantic love is much more adorable when it happens in fiction but not in real world.
