How do you sit/lie down when playing otome games? I'm curious what other people's playing set-up is like.

As per the title, I'm curious how other people lounge when playing otome games. Personally, if I'm playing on the switch I'm mostly lying down on my bed alone in my room. However, if I'm playing PC games, I am sitting down in my computer chair with a big screen in front of me.

The picture below is what my position would look like when playing. Sometimes i would have pillows under me for support or a tissue box beside (for the sad moments).

I'd love to know if others have comfortable positions they recommend!

I lie in bed on my back when I play on TV with pillows under knees for joint support. When I play on PC I use a somewhat unique chair (?). It looks like a horse sadde lol and works kinda the same way - you're kinda both sit and stand at the same time. Perfect for spine and posture.

Like you, I lie on the bed when playing SWITCH, with a pillow support near the elbow, or lie down to play, and take a relaxed posture.

For computer games, I will keep an appropriate distance, sit on the office recliner (with armrests on 2 sides, neck pillows, and pillows on the back of the waist), and enjoy leisurely.

I don't play mobile games much. I'm all at the desk, sometimes holding my chin.

playing on pc hurts my back, so i transition to other consoles IMMEDIATELY. I'm more comfy in playing vita since its size is actually proportion to my hand. Unlike switch, playing on switch has always been uncomfy for me (too big); I have to remove the tablet from its controllers and hope a certain game I'm playing can sufficiently support touch screen (yk just like using a normal phone on landscape but a bit bigger)

I mostly play games sitting at my desk or lying on the sofa, so I can judge whether I need to get up and exercise based on how sore my butt gets. Lying in bed, I'll fall asleep, and besides, it really hurts when my phone hits my face, it really hurts...

I mostly play in TV mode at my desk in my gaming chair. Because I'm a little restless and change my sitting position a lot and since it's a height-adjustable desk, I can stand up every now and then or slide the walking pad underneath.

My switch is too heavy to hold up (or I am just a wimp) so I rest it on my knees and sit similar to taiiku suwari with the switch's weight on my knees and holding the sides with my hands.

At PC, I change positions like every ten minutes I can't pick just one!

When playing games, they are usually divided into different scenarios. At home, I like to lie in bed and connect the game console to the display screen to play. Because I like large screens, lying in bed is very comfortable! When I go out, I always carry my Switch Lite with me, which is convenient and lightweight, allowing me to play anytime and anywhere. I prefer playing games quietly in my room at home, with drinks and snacks on the table next to me. It's very happy haha.

When I played in PC, I can sit on my chair for hours. I usually out small pillow so it Will be more comfortable. When playing on mobile phone, I usually lie on my bed with my pillow stack higher so I can change my position.

I can play sitting in front of my desk, I usually take breaks that are practically taking care of my house matters. When I'm tired and my back hurts, I lie down on my bed, it's a similar position, but I go back to the desk.

I try to sit well and use cushions on my chair.

Most of the time I'm at my desk with my feet on a footrest, basically half lying down while I play. If I end up gaming for hours, my back and shoulders start hurting, so I hook my PC up to the TV and play lying flat on my bed instead. I love big screens, so I always play my Switch in dockmode on a large monitor!

No matter what device I'm using, I always set up shop in front of my PC.
I've turned the area around my PC into a sort of base, so it's where I feel most comfortable.
On the other hand, I don't like lying down because it tires me out.

I find the Switch screen too small for some games (like b-pro) so I like to play in docked mode, hooked up to my pc monitor. And just like with pc games, I usually sit cross legged on my office chair. It's hard to sit still for long sessions so I tend to get up to do something else around the house like brewing some tea or playing with my dog, every so often.

Im usually just lying down like if i was sleeping on the side…even tho it can be annoying sometimes…so i just go sit on my chair with my legs in my legs on it !! I usually do when i play an otome game on my laptop bc my laptop sucks and his battery dies soo quickly ( u can gen see it go down by seconds ) but i think ur position is good !! I'm just not used to it…

I use a full-on gaming chair, but if i'm reading a vn a lot of the time i "slouch"/"lay down" with half of my body in the corner of my chair and just reach up to my keyboard. I don't recommend doing this for too long or your back will probably never recover

I play on my laptop, so I have more flexibility with where I can play. I mainly play on my bed, sitting up (reading pillow behind me with laptop on pillow/bed table) or on my stomach with a pillow under my chin. For my mouse/mousepad (i hate playing with a trackpad), I put it on anything that's nearby (textbook, bed table, kpop album...) Honestly, I should start playing at my desk, but my bed is too comfy ;) Especially for long playing sessions

I mostly play games on my laptop while lying face down on my bed. That's the most comfortable position for me. Of course, my body does get pretty exhausted after more than three hours.

I mostly play and work on my PC so I'm always sitting on a chair and because of that I got a good chair and a comfy cushion otherwise my back would be dead lol. I also make myself get up sometimes to walk around for a few minutes then come back so I don't completely destroy myself. :alice_sorry:

I tend to game face-down on my bed. Holding this position for a long time isn't great for my neck and elbows, but it reminds me not to overindulge and take breaks to stretch.

I prefer to play unlocalised or new otome games on my PC, if I am lazy I am laying down and sometimes use the phone holder for switch, so my hands would be free.

Used to just play on my pc for hours, now I often just connect my pc display to my ipad and play in bed. I also used to play on my phone for a bit
Ohh thats a good idea! I love my pc games but sometimes I dont like sitting for too long plus my bed is way more comfy so using the ipad instead sounds really nice.

I tend to play while sitting down, whether on PC or on the Nintendo Switch.

Actually, playing the Switch while lying in bed is usually more comfortable, but I keep getting sleepy 😂 So these days, if possible, I prefer playing while sitting. Of course, on a sofa or something.
