Can you imagine yourself in the place of the main character?

I think a lot of heroines represent what an ideal woman is supposed to be so putting yourself in her position feels bad or awkward because no real life person is so kind and selfless etc 😔 of course the same thing can be said for the love interests though.

Audio drama are definitely made for self insert though haha they're very immersive

I play Otome games feeling more like I'm acting out the role of the main character than identifying with her.
When I find that difficult, I try to enjoy the game from a third-person perspective.

Yeah i can sometimes or if i want, i used to self insert alot but it's being pretty hard lately since i no longer do ( or not as much as before ) probably bc mcs used to really be just for insert when there's more n more heroines you don't specifically relate or insert as that u still like !! ( ceres in my heart forever ) but i can if i really want !!! ( + if the mc is faceless like in olddd otomes )

It's hard to tell. For example, during certain confession scenes, I was giggling and kicking my feet while listening to the LI, and it just felt like my own little moment. Even when I saw him kissing the MC, it didn't feel like it was me. I still felt like I was part of the situation, though. If the LI isn't my type, I'm just like, "yey, congrats" and I'm out of the picture

I never imagined myself in the place of MC, even in games specifically made for self-insert. I just get fully immersed into the story and enjoy the emotions I get from the game. So I never felt like I was in the place of the main character

I think most of the time I do imagine myself in the place of the mc because I like to self insert and immerse myself in the story, kind of like reading a book in first person. But I also have no problems jumping in and out of first and third person pov! Just really depends on my mood haha

I try to imagine myself aa the mc, but it's really hard - I don't live the kind of life that most of those girls do, which is fine, but it makes it totally impossible for me to imagine that sort of thing.

I still change their name to mine, though !
