Are you liking the idea of MC with voice or MC stay unvoiced?

I would prefer if the MC was voiced. I do understand that for self-insert characters, games try to keep them as the silent but I always found it weird and off putting that everyone around them spoke with but then when the MC did it would be silence. It would be especially noticeable when it would be like an emotional scene between the MC and the another character. The voice actor would put a lot of passion and tone changes in the characters reading but then when it cuts to the MC's response, it would just be silent and unable to match the words said.

I prefer the audio version. It offers a more vivid experience and helps me form an impression of the characters. Moreover, some of the sounds are really cute and pleasant to listen to. The game's voice acting is also an integral part of the gaming experience. I feel that this can enhance the overall experience. The sounds can also better complement the emotions and facilitate the understanding of the feelings.

I think if ALL characters in the game are voiced i want the MC to be as well as it feels very jarring if they don't. But otherwise i don't mind either way, i like seeing if the voice they choose is close to what i imagined in my head for MC from just seeing them.

I think having an option is great because you can turn her voice off if you'd rather her be unvoiced, bustafellows was great !

For games, I also prefer them voiced actually, like it feels more complete? But I do think that it sounds weird when it comes to r18 cds, makes it harder to self insert when i want to i guess

I've gotten used to unvoiced MC so ° although recently i've played Jack Jeanne and i really enjoyed hearing Kisa with a voice ° it made me think that it's not that i enjoy unvoiced mcs but more like i don't have a choice ヾ( ' – '*)

I prefer voiced MC. I think it's weird all characters are voiced except her, and I want to hear her voice and what her emotions sound like.

I prefer them to be fully voiced. When they aren't, it makes me feel that the developers took the easy way out. Most games let you adjust the volume of the voices individually or mute them completely in the settings, so why not leave that decision to the player?

I prefer if the MC was also voiced! Since I don't play with the objective of wanting to self-insert, that it's not a problem for me. But I believe we could meet halfway and give the option to turn on and off! Best of both worlds.

And that's another seiyuu that it's going to get some money, so I support that too lol

I prefer games with voice acting because it makes it easier for me to immerse myself in the world. However, I feel like a lot of recent otome games don't have voice acting. It seems like there's definitely a demand for games without it.
Like everyone else, I think the on/off feature is great.

Voiced protagonist for sure! I wish we had more honestly. It really adds a lot to the experience imo. I think it'd be a lot better if more games implemented it, people who aren't fond of it can simply turn mc voice off and people who are can just enjoy it. Everyone wins that way.

I'm fine with either, but if your MC is truly a unique character in her own right, then I think she should be voiced as the MLs are - it gives her character a little more depth that way, i think. And sometimes they have super cute voices that are nice to hear either way 💗

I don't think you could do a character like Kisa (jack jeanne) without voicing her, but she's an exception, not the rule - still, shes worth keeping in mind. even if she didnt literally have to be part of the songs, i just don't think she'd work as well if she wasn't voiced . . .

However, it's annoying when the voice doesn't fit the mc, so . . . I guess it's nuanced.

I'm a self-inserter, to some extent, and I can still self-insert with a voiced mc.

I like to hear the voiced MC because it made her more alive. However, I'm really picky with the voice I like to hear, so it will be good if the voice actors are good.
