I often see people struggling to find PC games – sometimes even giving up because they can't find a download link –, whereas Switch and PS Vita games seem much easier to track down.

So, I got curious: has anyone here ever really wanted a PS Vita or Switch game but never managed to find it for piracy/online? I feel like PC games are becoming increasingly hard to find over time, unlike Switch games which seem easier to find online🤔

You're right, especially with older/ more obscure pc games. A lot of them might even be lost media by now, which is so heartbreaking...
But i feel like console games are archived better on the internet. They're usually easy to find.

That's right, it's like this. Sometimes I can't find resources for some classic and ancient games, and even if I click on a link, it becomes invalid. I feel very regretful and regret not saving game resources earlier. I occasionally see the last link left in the game, so I quickly download and save it because some resources can really become out of print. I really enjoy collecting precious resources to save!

Ah, eu sou igual a você nesse aspecto! Acabo salvando todos os jogos que baixo no Drive – ou em algum serviço/aplicativo similar – porque tenho medo de perdê-los e nunca mais encontrá-los (aconteceu com a versão +18 de Chou no Doku, e levei meses para achar um link de download funcionando)... Agora tenho uma coleção enorme de jogos e várias contas do Drive para armazená-los.

Os jogos tendem a desaparecer com facilidade hoje em dia, por isso é sempre uma boa ideia tomar precauções ao baixá-los.

i wouldnt say im interested in reading them, if anything im the biggest hater of this company, but i tried to search for altergear's shinjuku rashoumon, and couldnt find it literally ANYWHERE. not a single piracy website i checked had it available. with the low sales these titles are already getting, its just clear no one cares about them LMAO but, well, im a data hoarding idiot so i thought it would be okay to have them stashed away on my disk somewhere.. but alas!
 
In my case, it's unplayable... Prince of Stride has black screen error when using the Vita3k emulator....

The Kiniro no Corda games—the Vita versions. I'd love for them to port those to the Switch. I actually have a few Vita games saved on my HD precisely because they're such a pain to find these days.

My answer would have been the PS Vita version of Shinsouban Heart no Kuni no Alice. I don't know what the state is nowadays, but in the past, for a long time, there was no copy of the game anywhere online and physical copies were incredibly pricy. One day finally a copy appeared, but due to the way it had been dumped, it was completely broken/unplayable on emulators.
I just checked out what the current state of the game's compatibility is nowadays and it became playable :bigeyes:

Early PC single-player games are almost nonexistent now, except for a very few remakes. Some of these games were even developed by companies that have gone out of business, been sold, or acquired.
If you really want to play them, there's nowhere to start; you can only look for them in secondhand stores or on DL Sites and then buy them yourself.
Sometimes, missing out on good games is a real regret.

很早時期的pc單機遊戲，現在幾乎沒有，除了極少部分重製，有些連遊戲公司都閉、轉賣或被併吞。真正想玩也無從下手，只好去二手商店或是DL SITE找，再自購遊玩。好作品有時一旦錯過，就有遺憾。

Some PSV Games are harder to find than others (especially DLC. You just simply cant get some of the DLCs!), but I can also understand the struggle with finding PC Otome. There are some games i really would like to play, but they are neither sold or downloadable anywhere :(

I agree with PC games, especially more obscure doujin titles. Those are close to impossible to find, especially if the creator chooses to discontinue distribution. It happens a lot.

However on the contrary, if you hack your Vita (straightforward to do), you can use the pkgj app to download PS Vita games. The app likely doesn't have everything (ex. DLCs) but a large collection of otome already exists on it.
