What's your favourite indie game(s)?

I really like Hollow Knight, Undertale, Stray, Omori, and V4-11 Hall-A; I think those are the most well-known too, haha. There are also those RPG Maker games like Zeno, Mogeko Castle, Mad Father, The Witch's House, .flow, and Ib; I like those a lot too. Oh, and there are also some I played on the Play Store from Tabomsoft called Hide and Seek and Deep Sea Girl. I think they're not there anymore, but you can probably find them online; they're pretty cool too.

Speaking of play store rpg maker games, i remember one i used to play when i was really young called "asylum", do you happen to have played that one too? It was really difficult for me and i think had microtransactions that you either needed to win or at least make the game easier, but at that time i thought it had a pretty scary atmosphere.
Edit: i looked the game up, and it's also by tabomsoft! The full name is "the asylum: closed ward". I think i remember the translation being pretty bad too.

I think Stardew Valley and some sandbox games like The long dark ,forest and stranded deep. These games were my first when I joined Steam back 2015-16. Also some horror games like White Day, The coma and dreadout.

Downfall, The Lady Cat, Lorelai, BurnHouse Lane - These are all games from the same publisher, and I absolutely love every single one of them. A new one is coming out soon—I'm so hyped! Among the fairly well-known ones are *No, I'm Not a Human*, *Fran Bow*, and *Sally Face*.

I feel the same! halfway through, the vibes of the game changed. I still loved the whole thing, but the asylum/forest sections were my favorites. Oh, and itward was pretty fun too :))

Have you played subnautica too? It's not a complete sandbox i guesss, but it's one of my absolute favourites. I think it started out as an indie game, but i don't think it is one anymore.

Oh, I played that one too, but unlike the other two games, I didn't finish it precisely because of the game's microtransactions! That one and the other one with a white-haired character, called Hide and Seek 2, both have a really scary atmosphere, especially the one in the asylum, and it didn't help that it was all dark, lol. I honestly wish there were more games like that :( (but without the microtransactions of course XD)

You're right, i just remembered how dark it was! And the loud noises and difficult chases, it all helped make it quite scary. I can still fell the loud knock jumpscare in the beginning in my bones,, it really was an interesting game.
I remember hide and seek too, i think it had a really good ending that i don't remember anymore... maybe I'll replay all of them, I'm feeling really nostalgic now,,,
I'm hoping there might be a modded version of asylum somewhere out there... microtransactions are my personal hell too :((

Now that you mention it, I feel like playing too! XD I've been craving horror games like that. I remember there was a part in Hide and Seek 2 that terrified me—the room full of dolls. When you reached the middle of the room, the dolls and stuffed animals would rush to attack the white-haired protagonist
