This is an extremely random post LMAO. But i was just wondering what other people would say,, as for me I guess I'm the most aligned to tsundere AND I like tsunderes the most (+ yanderes but shh)..
I'm pretty sure the reason I like tsundere LI's is because I can see myself in the LI and while they're often shitty, they still are loved by the heroine. (A bit of an unconventional approach right?)


So what is your favourite dere and what dere do you think you are? I'd love to see elaborations!
*you could also list a different stereotype outside of deres, like a genki or hikikomori!*

I'm probably a dandere or kuudere irl (until i become close to someone)
And i love yandere characters the most!
Edit: and definitely a hikikomori. I have online college, so i barely ever leave the house for months on end.

Yandere, Genki, and Kuudere characters pretty much always work for me.

With Tsundere types, it really depends on the specific character; there are some I like and some I don't.

The one I never really warm up to is the playboy. I usually just skim through his route, simply to complete the game.

Dandere, deredere or kuudere!!! Basically all the green flags lol, especially if the kuudere has a soft spot or insane gap moe 🥺 the best example is Artem from tears of themis!!

I also find tsunderes really cute when done right (like Tyril), but sometimes theyre done badly (like Ryuki from CupiPara and Riku from OS... they both were bad sorry 😭)

Not a fan of yanderes, sorry Toma I would rather not be in ur cage x

At 1st I thought I was a tsundere (not knowing much about dere types).
Turns out I'm a deredere just like Heishi from Norn9.
I like yandere and deredere the most.

I can easily connect with anyone I meet but as of late I've been going outside just once a year tops. People seem more aggressive (especially men) and they scare me now (so I prefer staying home).
Does that make me a hikikomori too? I'm not sure.

I like the type that appears to be a sunny, happy-go-lucky puppy dog on the surface, but once they feel abandoned, they turn dark and become a damp, obsessive yandere who clings and won't let go. I also love the unapproachable, ice-cold handsome guy who falls from grace after genuinely falling in love and ends up begging for affection in a pitiful way. Or the strait-laced, serious guy who knows nothing about love—when his heart first awakens, by the time he realizes what this feeling is, it's already too late, and he's trapped in pain and inner conflict… Of course, there are many more types! I love all of them. I'm pretty broad-minded in my tastes—I just want to give all the handsome guys in the world a home~

I like tsundere the most. I think they're cute! My second favorite is kuudere!

As for yandere, it depends on the story. I generally prefer cheerful characters.

My favorite dere is definitely yandere (don't tell anyone lol) — something about that whole "you belong to me" and the crazy dark side just hits different.
As for what dere I think I am… probably a fake tsundere? Like, I act like I don't care but secretly I've already reread someone's message three times 😂 In real life I can't really pull off tsundere — I'm just kinda awkward and introverted. Maybe a bit of a "hikikomori" type since I don't have otome friends irl and rely on online communities to survive lol. No way I could ever be genki.
Also your reason for liking tsundere LIs is so interesting — because you see yourself in them and they're still loved. That's actually kinda deep. Makes me want to rethink my own taste haha.

i had to google types of dere to remember which is which and saw ones i've never heard of. ☆⌒(ゝ。∂)

when i'm playing an otome I seem to lean more teasedere or deredere. i love all the really flirty options i could choose and i have no issue of MC being clingy and affectionate to their love interest. ˙˚ʚ(´◡`)ɞ˚˙

i'm an avid yandere enjoyer, i enjoy the obsessive possessive type in any degree so I like when the character will eventually get that way with jealousy too. i like the flirty, mischievious ones (solely with MC) or the golden retriever, himbo type or the big brother caretaker type. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

like you lol i feel like i match the tsundere criteria while looking tsunderes sooo much ( and the genki golden retriever one lol ) i genuinely hate when ppl aren't honest or turn around the brush but i really love them in otome games for an unknown reason you can easily notice that if there's a tsundere character in a game he will automatically be my favourite character!!
 
Not sure if this has a name tbh 😭

I really like characters who are slightly out of sync with everyone else. Not completely unhinged or random, just... operating on their own wavelength lol. The kind where you think "what is wrong with this person" at first, but then their logic actually makes perfect sense.

Tsunderes are great too, especially when they slowly warm up over the course of the story. I'm a sucker for that kind of development 🥺

and i really fond of yanderes. i like when they dedicated themselves for you and doting you rest of their life. i just like obsession trope in general hehe.

maybe this is just my guilty pleasure but i like otoutos (little brother trope) too. i found them adorable when they call us "nee-san" uee (⁠｡⁠ﾉ⁠ω⁠＼⁠｡⁠)
