Do you like the slice-of-life otome genre?

Why not, if the story is interesting. But how do you write a story without any drama? There will be no difference between routes, if there are no problems. Even comedy titles have some serious moments. Maybe if it is a kinetic novel, it's possible

Well, I think "drama" is subjective as a whole. Some people consider no conflict drama-free while others just consider some conflict as a story furthering rather than just "drama" for the sake of drama. (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

Normal love interest without any fantasy elements to a game is completely a-okay with me. I enjoy the TMGS series which is just a school life game and they're one of my favorite series of all time.

If you're talking about slice-of-life where it's just sweet moments in a game, I can definitely see the appeal as episodic type of game. I think it would be really cute where it's just dates, meetings or milestones in a relationship. **♡( ⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎ )

I do see the issue of how can you develop a fully fleshed out game with a cohesive storyline without ANY conflict. I, myself, cannot see how to write without any conflict or friction to progress storylines or emotional growth after overcoming or succumbing to issues arising in a plot.

But hey! Maybe someone has the idea and the talent to prove that a wonderful game can be created as such one day, if they haven't or are already working on it at this moment.

Slice of life would be a good genre to practice with my basic Japanese, so yes I would prefer that with no sci-fi/fantasy terms. I would also play it in english 'cus too much unnecessary drama sours my taste. Focus on wholesome vanilla is a nice change of pace and heals my soul.

I like slice-of-life otome games. I'm planning to buy one too. I think they seem relaxing and chill, you know? But if a game looks interesting, I'll play it. I'm not too picky about games—I can enjoy all kinds of genres, but I usually only pay attention to stories or content that interest me.

Slice-of-life stories definitely have their own unique charm!
Since each character has such a distinct personality, watching their romance unfold is bound to be entertaining.
Personally, I think I prefer ordinary, relatable stories over heavy fantasy.

I liked Hanakare, TMGS, Jack Jeanne but I don't think these games were considered having no drama at all. I think a game with absolutely no conflicts would lead to the routes ending early because it would most likely just be all fluff. But slice of life games can be really fun if the plot and characters are good

I will buy it! The daily life fragments are also very relevant to our lives. I prefer the life in the game, which is not as complicated and tiring as in real life. On the contrary, life in the game is very healing and you can also fall in love with the boy you like.
