Which route do you usually go for first in a visual novel the good ending or the bad ending?

Well, it depends. If I really like the main character, I can't stand the bad endings; I simply don't do them.

If I like the main character relatively well, or I don't care about them, I do the bad ending first and then the good one.

If I dislike the main character, I do the good ending first and then the bad ones because, for me, the greatest satisfaction is seeing how everything goes wrong for the main character I don't like, and if I'm lucky, I see the protagonist get her revenge.

I'm the type that needs to get everything. My curiosity wouldn't leave me alone otherwise, there's always the "what if..." back in my mind that wants to see what happens. I want to see every piece of content, so when I look at walkthroughs I try to figure out the most efficient way to get everything without having to save and load too much. That's why I love when there's a flowchart. Some games would have been extremely complicated without one. I remember you needed to go back to the beginning of the chapter and change your stats in Collar x Malice for example.

I like to try all the answers and read first the bad endings to wrap things up perfectly on a high note with the good ending. It's the perfect closure.

I go for bad ending first cause it faster also I don't wanna feel sad later after playing bad ending

My usual playing style is good ending first and bad ending later.
But it depends on how much i enjoy the plot of the story.
I mainly aim for good ending and true ending mostly so i often skip the bad endings which ends in abrupt,do not make any sense, dont have cg,and not including some hidden facts or not an canon event relating to plot or characters personality and such.

I try to make the effort to get everything bad out of the way first AND to get some sort of feedback on which routes to leave for last if there's some big reveals that could be spoiled otherwise, in the more plot heavy releases. Sometimes I can't help but get swept in the flow of things and just do things my own way still, though. Makes getting bad endings a struggle, leaves me with a bitter aftertaste.

I only do good endings in games; I don't like bad endings because, well, they're bad, and they make me sad.

But depending on the game, if it's very short, and I'm in the mood, I'll do the bad endings after the good ones, but only if they're not too heavy.

I always start with the bad endings and end with the good ending for my favorite character to close the loop.
There's one exception: if I hated the character and didn't like them, the bad ending will always be the better option over the good one, and I consider it more canonical than the happy ending.

I always watch the good ending first.

After that, I watch the bad ending.

By doing that, I consider the good ending to be the true ending,

and I just think of the bad ending as an alternate world where the wrong choices were made~

Whenever I start a visual novel, I start blindly, choosing the options I like best and that's it. Then, if I have a choice, I pick the good route first and then the bad one. It's a bad habit because I feel sad Dx

Bad ending then good ending. I usually want to get every ending of a LI I like before I choose the other LIs

My first playthrough is blind. So sometimes idk which ending i will get. I prefer happy ending.

I'll play through all the bad endings before moving on to the good endings, because some of the bad endings are really heartbreaking. That way, when I finally get to the good endings, it will heal the wounds I suffered from the bad endings XD

I usually do my first playthrough without using a guide, so I tend to get the bad endings first lol. Even when I try aiming for the best or normal ending, I just end up choosing whatever feels right in the moment, and somehow that leads me to bad endings a lot... Some games even require you to see the bad ending first before you can unlock the happy ending too. So basically, I almost always end up doing the bad endings first! haha

I don't use guides even non-spoilery ones. Usually end up on the bad ending first time blind playthrough but it pulls more at my heartstrings and I prefer it to the tame happy ones :D

Definitely Happy Ending. After all the HEs, i will go for the rest to unlock 100% CG achievement.
Sometimes there are some forceful play order games, when it´s like that, then i cant do anything but just play that order.

I play with blind way. If i get bad ending, well i just have to replay the game. Actually not really care weather i get bad or good ending first.

I always do the bad endings first, just so that I can end off the game on a happy note.

It depends. Lolol. If I'm actually invested, I'd play the bad endings first then the happy ending. If I just want to finish the game, then I only play happy endings.

But I think if a game got me far enough to the ending stage, I'd usually get all the endings because I have perfectionist issues(haha). But I'd always play the bad first before getting to the happy endings.

It's honestly the same with food. If I eat a bavarian donut, I make sure to leave the middle as much as possible so that my last bite has the most filling. So yeah.. Always happy endings last. XD
