Do game spoilers (plot, CG, etc.) bother you? Or do you prefer seeing them?

I hate spoilers lol. I only like being spoiled about which ship ends up being canon in series, anime, movies, etc. But in otomes, that kind of spoiler is unnecessary because every route can be canon anyway. Plot spoilers, though? I don't like them. Knowing beforehand what's going to happen takes away part of the fun of reading something for the first time.

I'm not really worried about spoilers. Sometimes seeing spoiler CGs or learning about the plot actually makes me more interested.

Depends on what type of spoiler it is. If it is trivial like the tropes in a story, then I don't care. Sometimes, if the trope is interesting to me, I might want to play the game more. But if the spoiler is major, like major character death, plot twists, and etc.. It can definitely make me feel reluctant to play the game until I forget the spoiler.

I'm actually the total opposite of a lot of people in the replies, I actively avoid CGs a lot of the time, esp if its for a game I'm super excited for. This gets to a point where I wont even listen to voice samples. I'm sure that's kinda weird but I really enjoy going in blind!

It bothers me if i'm going to play it. If not, it's okay.
Also, it depends on the spoiler level... for example, if the CG is from common route, then it's ok, because maybe i will play the game just because i see the visuals and i liked it. And i usually dont get spoilers since i dont use too much social media...

It depends on how good the plot is like if there is a big plot twist done really well then I wouldn't want to spoil it. Other than that I don't mind spoilers too much.

I don't really care, although I think I'm lucky not to get any spoilers (?) I usually only see the promotional CGs on the site and beyond that it almost never reaches me, I also avoid reading reviews on websites or even the "route in order" as many suggest, I go in pretty blind when I play the game to have my own experience.

I prefer to avoid them before playing routes I'm interested in and then check them out for the routes (+ the bad endings) I don't play.

I don't mind some CGs or screenshots pics posted cause it help me get interested in the game. But I don't like major big plot/story spoilers.

Generally I am okay with a few minor spoilers here n there, not nothing major. Sometimes learning about something gets me into the game than if I were to go in blind.

If it's huge plot reveals or the meat of a route, I generally don't like it.

However, I think it's inevitable to avoid stuff like secret LIs or CG spoilers if you use social media. Sometimes I'll come across fanart of something based off a spoiler moment in a route of a game I'm playing and it makes me intrigued because I'll sit here like "I wonder what the context for this is... gotta catch up in my playthrough!" Sometimes you get spoiled just looking at the promotional material of a game or a walkthrough if you wanna be a completionist though.

I think it's a matter of voluntary and involuntary spoiling, I suppose? I don't mind getting spoiled on my own terms, like asking friends who played a game before me to tell me about their fav characters for example (or reading a friend's liveblogging experience of a game, for that matter!), but if I'm bombarded with a thing's entire plot unprompted I'll get miffed about it.

I try to avoid spoilers and stick to spoiler-free reviews. Even to the point of not looking at the preview CGs used in the opening movies.

I really hate spoilers and absolutely don't want to see them. I think the first time is the most fun.
In particular, I really hate spoilers for games I'm about to play or am currently playing.
I don't mind spoilers for games I have no intention of playing in the future.

I don't care if i see couple CG or about secret love interest. Sometimes I'm not interested in the main LI's and not sure if i want play game. So find about secret route is help. In Sympathy Kiss I liked mostly secret route . Also Dandelion even if it was short

I try to avoid any kind of spoilers before I clear the game. I enjoy playing my games blind not knowing what to expect. So other than the game's release date and it's opening trailer I never look up anything about it. Even real triggering trigger warnings. It's more fun that way!

I rarely look at spoilers. Whenever possible, I prefer to play the game myself and discover the story without any prior information. I try to avoid watching CG as much as possible, and before starting a game, I only casually check the overall reviews and keywords. I love the moment when the game's world is gradually revealed as I play without knowing anything, so I want to cherish that feeling.

i don't like seeing cgs in trailers so i don't watch them lol , i play otome based on the story if it sounds interesting or is one of my fav genres. also i do research on the characters like their personalities but pay more attention if my favorite voice actors are in it :3

Not at all! I don't mind spoilers. In fact, I actively search spoilers hahahahah
Spoilers helps me understand what I'm actually getting into, plus for me it makes my playthrough feels even more... 'enriched', is that the right word? 🤔 it makes the game more enjoyable yeah yeah

I'm not curious about spoilers at first, but I can't hold back my curiosity during the game, and I only see a glimpse of them.

I'm the type that skips the Opening/Intro video while playing. I'd rather encounter character CGs organically and get a pleasant surprise. Don't like reading the game summary either. Just the nice front artwork is fine to entice me :).
