do you own a switch for otome games？

I owned a Switch before I even know that a lot of Otomes were going to be released on the Switch, so it was a good investment on my end! I will by the Switch 2 once I see every otome game releasing on said console.
 
I own a PSP, a PS Vita, and a Switch 2, but I never got a Switch 1.
I mostly played PC games back then, so I missed the timing to buy one.
In general, I prefer playing games on PC when possible.
 
I bought a Switch to play otome games. Since I mainly use a PC, I usually play using an emulator.
 
I mostly play on my PC, so I probably won't buy it for the Switch. But if it's a Switch, I can play while lying in bed, so maybe I'll buy one next time.
 
I bought a switch at the time to play visual novels and the Vocaloid game Project diva, and with the advent of the emulator, I put it on the shelf, but the problem is that it's extremely difficult to get games for the emulator due to copyright. it is the Japanese otome.
 
I took a break from gaming a couple of years (busy life) so I never got around buying a switch. I do have a vita and my sister has a switch for Pokemon. Even tho we plan to share the console but she constantly playing on it, and she is planning to upgrade if switch lite 2 ever came around, so I just emulate in the meantime.
 
I own a switch for pokemon and rpg game. But for otome game will play on emulators (pc). Otome game is expensive and these days hardly can find some new released otome game that can interest me. Except tokimeki memorial girl side 4, emulators probably can't work on it very well and better to play it on switch so I bought it and I think it's worthy to buy.

I own two PSP, two PS Vita, one new 3DS, and two Switch 1. I plan to get the new Switch 2 model when it comes out. I don't really like playing games on emulators unless it's for the convenience of translation.
 
I bought Switch to play FE3H lol but I played a couple of otome games there as well. I mainly play untranslated otome/BL on PC though
 
The Nintendo Switch I use belongs to my younger brother. He bought it wanting to play Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild (and trying with all his willpower to convince me to play too XD it's been years but even today he won't leave me alone with Zelda, I've never seen so much persistence lol). Now that he's built his PC and has already played the Zelda games, he hardly uses it (except when we play Mario Kart together or another Mario game that can be played by two players) and he also said that as soon as he buys the Switch 2 he'll give me the first Switch.
Initially, I didn't know there were so many otome games for the Switch and was only interested in Fire Emblem and Dragon Quest. It was only after seeing otome games for Nintendo on an otome game page I follow that I started researching and playing otome games on the Switch. The first ones I played were Nightshade and then Piofiore. I use the Switch a lot to play otome games, but lately I've been trying out other games like Tomodachi Life, Bayonetta, and Xenoblade.

Not entirely, but most of them are playing Otome games, just like buying a PSV for Otome games. But now many Otome games have been ported to Switch
 
Yep! I originally bought my switch for other games, and now I also use it for otome. It's more convenient and I get to lie in bed while playing.
 
I bought a switch mainly for otome game but after I bought it I rarely used it for otome but Aminal crossing and Project diva tho :miku_cheer:

The reason is the screen of the Switch lite is small and the battery is bad, too. I think I prefer playing otome on big screen, so I often play PC games or emulate them on my computer 😄
 
I don't like playing games on a PC for long periods of time, so I play otome games on the Switch.

I think the reason otome games are often released on the Switch is that many people who buy Japanese otome games don't own a PC.
 
I got the Switch so many years ago now, but it was initially for Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Then it just... slowly, slowly became an otome game console forever. Heheh... (ᵕ • ᴗ •)

That being said, otome games are expensive, especially on the eShop, so I eventually hardware modded my console myself (which was a project and a half, not going to lie), so now I tend to play mostly on my physical console only. That being said, I still use emulators (like ryujinx) if I don't want to install a game on my Switch or I want to play a game side by side (which works surprisingly well if I want to check localization quality/follow along and actually see the original as well). I have a cheap capture card that works well enough, so I can get the signal from my docked Switch and have the game mirrored directly onto my PC (which also makes OCR/translation tools usable). That's probably my preferred setup right now. (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

On top of all of the above, I honestly just prefer the physical console (even if the Vita is lighter and quite frankly the perfect handheld in comparison to the Switch) because I can sit with it in bed, on the couch and take it with me wherever I go. (✿ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)⁾⁾

The brutally honest answer is that Nintendo is trying to push their consoles onto gamers, so there are probably a lot of backroom 'exclusivity' deals with otoge developers. Notice that indie/doujin otome companies don't tend to do that.

I have a psvita but i dont have switch or any other consoles.I play switch otome game with switch emulator which is installed on both tablet or pc.
As for switch emulator,I use ryujinx for pc and eden for android.
 
i only play on emulator but i do plan to get a switch 2 eventually so i can lie down while playing 🙃
 
When I need a translation, I use an emulator, but when a translation isn't necessary, I play on the Switch.
 
I bought a Steam Deck and then emulated a Switch on it for otome games. I like this way a lot better because it means I also have access to PSP or PS Vita otome games while retaining the handheld way of playing. I actually prefer the Switch version even if they release a PC version on Steam afterwards.
 
I usually use a display screen, switch, or switch lite to play games. Switch is usually used to connect the display screen, which is more comfortable for me. I really enjoy playing games on a large screen. Switch Lite is usually used to play in bed or for easy carrying when going out, it is very lightweight!
