How do you feel about LIs who still have feelings for someone else?

if its treated properly in the narritive, then it can be fine. but most of the time its not. It can make the story more realistic than the usual, but i don't think it gets executed properly most of the time! it needs have a purpose, you can't just do it for the drama factor without proper setup and resolution, character motives etc. There is not enough deviation for me, Also it should impact the mc appropriately, she can't just be in stand by mode, until he just falls for her magically...
 
Hard skip. Unless we are *actually* the past lover (memory loss, reincarnation etc), I am not interested.

Though that comes from a self-inserter POV, so I can see where it's nice juicy drama for character players. (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡
 
I don't like it. it feels like the MC is begging for affection from someone who doesn't care
 
I feel like I'm watching Kagome and Inuyasha's relationship, where they haven't moved on from their deceased partners, and it's really annoying.
 
Definitely a no for me. I am playing a romance game. The LIs to be dedicated to the MC. If they like someone else, I am going to pass on them.
 
It's a resounding NO, and it's not just me; I think it's a general thing. For example, when my friends and I play Bloodborne Games, and obviously, whenever the topic comes up in otome games or series, the main character always seems to resemble or be the same as the ex. I hate it, I hate how they portray it, so I always skip it.
 
It could be angsty and some nice drama if handled correctly I think, but I'd rather not have any ex-girlfriend or ex-crush involved at all!! Like comments above said, LI now loves ME so like. Noooo.
