What's your favorite underrated/not talked about enough otome game?

Real Rode is a game that marked me because it was the first otome game I played that had RPG battles (okay, it's ridiculously easy, but for someone looking for something more than just reading, I thought it was incredible at the time!). I don't see people commenting on it, probably because the combat is too easy and the story is silly. But I still like it and I still think about going back to it someday to finish the routes I haven't completed.

Another one I can think of is Guard me Sherlock! from Shall we date. It's a shame that isn't available anymore:(

Although this one isn't focused for girls (and for some reason it makes me a little embarrassed to admit that), I really like that Love Hina game for Game Boy. Even before otome games, this was my first contact with a game where you have to win over a romantic partner, although in this case it's a male protagonist having to win over girls! Back when I played it on a Game Boy emulator, I never managed to get the ending with the girl I wanted my protagonist to end up with because the game always froze at a certain part where the protagonist takes this girl for a boat ride (or I think that's what it was, since it's been a long time since I played it) (ノ`Д´)ノ彡┻━┻ I confess that I always wanted to go back and play it, but I think that moment when the game froze kind of negatively marked me because whenever I think about downloading it, I remember the game freezing halfway through and how frustrated I was at the time, so I gave up lol. Anyway, although it's not an otome game, it's another game I've never seen anyone mentioning before

I really like both the style and setting of Hyakka Yakou! I haven't replayed it in a while, but the game had pretty interesting LIs (my favorite was Yukinari), and the red light district setting was intriguing as well! I also like Kyoukai no Shirayuki, the characters are pretty quirky and the art is very beautiful, and I love fairytale stories :)

Although I don't think the game is very good, I played Ore ga Omae wo Mamoru on the DS, it's a metroidvania RPG otome lol (it even has an English translation!). Sometimes you just want a little more gameplay in your otome! Haha

I played that one in my early teens too! I was into the anime for a while, so when I found out about the game, I searched for it immediately! (I also relate to being a bit embarrassed about male-targeted romance games! Nowadays not that much, but a while back I'd be pretty worried admitting I played eroge or galge games lol especially the former. Probably because of the stereotypes about romance visual novels)

Romance MD by Voltage, for me, one of the best made by them! Hospital setting, funny mc (and she has a face woohoo 🤣) and the love interests are chef's kiss for me

I searched this game toy mentioned and the protagonist reminded me a little bit of Wylfred from Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of Plume. My dream to romance Wylfred is finally coming true hahaha And I think the same, sometimes it gets a little tiring just reading, I wish there were more otome games with RPG elements :( the most I'll get of that is with the Fire Emblem games ʕ´• ᴥ•̥`ʔ And it's good to know I wasn't the only girl to play Love Hina! Maybe it's not as underrated as I thought! And I didn't even know there was an anime, I only found out now after several years, I'm shocked

I'd say Palais de Reine and Chronicles of Tal'Dun: The Remainder.

Chronicles Chronicles of Tal'Dun was a great game! Although it was more survival horror than romance 🤣. Hope creators will make more games in the future!

And my not-talked about enough game is Otometeki Koi Kakumei★Love Revo!! Gameplay mechanics were addictive and it has great side characters. My favourite was a Guy in a Dress Holding Frozen Tuna

Probably Sweet Fuse for me... 🤔
Sweet Fuse is so underrated!! I love the MC and had a good time with all the routes, the setting is pretty cool as well. The whole intuition thing in gameplay is pretty fun. I wish it got at least a PC port :(

For some reason I feel like Nightshade doesn't get talked about so much?? Q_Q It's what made me change on how I play otomes.

This! 100% it does not get the love it deserves. It was funny, cute, and I liked trying to figure out the mystery/traps. (although sometimes I'd forget to save and get a gameover lol) Plus, there's not a lot of games where yelling at the LI is the correct choice. Saki took no crap.

Another one for me would be Winter's Wish: Spirits of Edo. I didn't have high expectations for it, and I generally don't care for otomes set in that time period, but I loved most of the routes. It was very sweet.

Bad apple wars!! I adored the music, characters, premise and world set up. Honestly an amazing gem of a game and I'd love it be ported to switch or pc.

All the quinrose's game. Not only the most well-known Alice's series, most of them is quite deep and have a very funny/unique heroine. The downside of Quinrose is probably not having a attactive VA like otomate.

I recommended Arabians Lost and Oumagatoki ~Kaidan Romance~

Particularly Drastic Killer, and also the Kanuchi Shiroki/Kuroki Tsubasa no Shou series. I'm still in love with Drastic Killer; Kanuchi annoyed me by only finishing the story in the second game, so there are many incomplete endings in the first game, but even so, it holds a special place for me. I think I should also mention Sangoku Rensenki; Daisy makes so many good games! I'd love a translation of it someday. Danzai no Maria still holds a special place for me too.
