Hello! This is my first time posting, and I hope I'm posting in the right place. Around a week ago I started playing Teikoku Sensenki, and for the life of me I could not get this game go past the first couple chapters without it crashing. It either crashed on launch, during graphic transitions, when you click, or even because of certain audio playing! Now this game is really old- from 2004, but I played this company's older work before (Enzai) and it worked just fine with compatibility mode! this game however didn't. So after days of looking for a fix and almost giving up I finally found a fix!
I used DDrawcompat. From what I understood it's a wrapper that fixes games that are based on older directx graphics. You just download and extract the zip, move the "ddraw.dll" file to the folder the game is stored in, and that's it! run the game and it should be working just fine!
Another tip: if you have a multi-monitor setup then make sure you disable all the monitors expect for the main one, because sometimes having multiple monitors can mess up some older games!
Again, if this is the wrong place to post this then sorry and I'll delete it! I hope this helps someone!
