Do you watch the animes of otome games?

I very like watching the animes of otome games!!
Angelique series and Harukanaru Toki no Naka de series let me know otome games.
 
Like them generally, unless the animation is like in Code Realize anime 😭. But Kamigami no Asobi, Arcana Famiglia, UtaPri, Hiiro no Kakera, Hakuoki, and Neo Angelique, Amnesia, in my opinion, are really good
 
I did when I was younger but they almost never worked for me. The MC rarely ends up with anyone and the relationships and plot feel so watered down compared to the actual game. The art usually takes a hit too
 
I personally don't as they usually go down a route I don't particularly care for or they seem to generalize the plot while missing out key characters or storylines. If anyone can suggest one that proves me wrong please send me it! 😫
 
I watched a lot of otome animes before I knew they were based on otome games
 
I've watched a few. My problem with these series was that either the main character chose a guy I didn't like, or she didn't choose anyone at all and spent time with someone different in every episode – a sort of encouragement to play the actuall game, I suppose. I watched Hakuouki, Amnesia, Uta no Prince-sama, La Corda D' Oro, Brother's Conflict and Angelique. And i really, really love Neo Angelique Abyss!
 
i don't, i've tried them before but i can't really get into them. the MC either ends up with someone i don't care for or nobody at all and usually things have to be watered down or compacted to fit and so details get lost.
 
I tried a couple of times, but no more. It ruined all the charm for me. =\
 
i've thought about it but haven't yet i don't think i'd like it much if my fav doesn't get enough screen time
 
I've seen *Neo Angelique*. I love how cute Angelique looks, and I'm a huge fan of her voice actress!
*UtaPri* really became a meme, didn't it?
 
I try to! Personally, it gets disappointing though when the MC isn't given as much lines or when there's a clear LI the producers favor. It's hard to balance character popularity and storylines, so I get it to some degree. That doesn't mean it doesn't make me wish for more though 🥹
 
I always watched otome game anime when I was little (like utapri and staryy sky), but it was really disappointing when they adapted dynamic chord into an anime, I didn't even think that anime ever existed lol
So now when they will release an otome game anime, I often focus on who adapted it and see if the visuals are accurated from the game itself from the media or PV
 
I've watched a few, but they weren't as impressive as the games. I'm quite busy lately so I don't watch them often, but I'd still give them a try if I had time. ╮⁠(⁠＾⁠▽⁠＾⁠)⁠╭
 
watching otome anime really was like the beginning for me. i was obsessed with diabolik lovers, utapri and brothers conflict so when i searched more about them and discovered they had games i really wanted to play them! when brothers conflict and diabolik lovers got a fan patch i was so happy i was finally able to play them. hopefully utapri will get one soon ;_; also otome anime introduced me to some of my fav seiyuus xD
 
I think I only watched UtaPri and Amnesia out of curiosity. Still, I'm not much of an anime person and would prefer to play the games myself
 
If it's a game I've never played before, I might watch it because I didn't know it was made from a game.
But if I've played it, I probably wouldn't watch it.
 
I'm sure many of you discovered the game through the anime, but since I'm a fan of the original (otome game) version, I tend to focus on the game and don't usually watch anime adaptations. However, I enjoyed watching Diabolik Lovers because the directing style was quite unique. Even though it was a short animation lasting less than a few minutes, it was worth watching😁

My first otome games' anime was Amnesia . I watched Brothers Conflict , Diabolik Lovers , Dance With Devils , Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love 1000% , My Next Life as a Villainess , Hiiro no Kakera , La corda d'oro . I don't watch otome games' anime anymore because playing otome games will always the best experience between the two imo :love:.
 
Only when very early years when the actually games were not available for international players. Most amines art is not as exquisite as the game, and took only one route or event no routes which were even worse.
 
Well I seen Utapri, Brothers Conflict, Amnesia, Norn9, Dance with Devil all before I knew what is Otome games is. They were either hit or miss.

But after starting playing otome games, I feel like Hakuoki was the only decent anime adaption. The rest was meh. Collar x Malic was fine, was disappointed it was a sidestory to the game than story adaption.
 
I've seen a lot of anime based on otome games, and I often feel disappointed because the animation or art quality tends to be lacking. UtaPri's art style wasn't exactly amazing either, but I still really enjoyed it because I loved the music and the characters.
