Otome but the LI are Muscular Guys

Muscular men are a bit rare to find in Otomes, which sucks because I love me some muscle men! The closest thing I can think of is Ryuusei Mitarashi from Sweet Fuse.

It's true, muscular guys are super rare in the Otome world. Even though 'Male Mommy' (man-mommy/nurturing big guy) types are gaining a lot of traction on our social media lately, the mainstream aesthetic still prioritizes a 'pretty face' above all else. As for body types, most games go for that 'lean muscle' look—you know, the kind that looks slim in clothes but has some definition underneath. Still, the Otome industry is evolving and diversifying so much lately! I really hope we get to see a wider variety of male lead archetypes in the future!

It is a bit difficult because a lot of otome games are from Asia, or are made by people who love the Asian beauty standards (or anime look). So a lot of them have slim pretty boys.

There are some otome games where I think the guys look somewhat muscular, but it is not exactly bara. I can't describe it but bara looks like a lot of focus on muscles on the whole body, including the legs, and the face is more angular? But even muscular guys in otome will have a face with smooth lines, wide shoulders and a slim waist (not much butt either...)

For example Salty Hounds is a Korean game where you can find muscular guys, but most of the focus seem to be on the shoulders and chest area (manhwa style?)



Bewitching Sinners and Speakeasy also kind of have that wide shoulder look where focus is on the upper body.




Heart Cage guys have, um......very big, super big shoulders.




Well overall otome games just favor certain styles more, games will follow the popular trends.
But, there are developers who I think make the muscles look good. Such as Khywae. They do animated R18 scenes too but all their games are fangames. If you are not interested in the original work that it is derived from, I don't think you'll care much about the guys (or understand what is going on in the story)





and Rolling Crown with the Demon Heart series. I highly recommend this developer. And most of the time the demon doesn't wear a shirt. Lol.

Gimme muscular guys! >< I love athletic builds and beach bodies, but I feel like they are such a rarity. I like Raul from CupiPara, but I would love someone with a bit more buff.

Honestly i would love that ~ i mean if you asked me when i was a lil bit younger i'dve been like "yeah no u_u" but now °°°° omg ~ just throw them at me !
