What’s your reason for playing otome games—the VAs or the story’s setting/background? 🤔

story settings and voice actors! if the setting is interesting and i see one of my fav VA voicing one of the characters, that'd be on my gameplay list ☝️

and also, maybe a little bit of visual/art style ehehe

Real!! Stunning visuals in otome games make my heart skip a beat too. Sometimes I fall for a game just because the art is pretty, no shame.

i go for the setting and plot, playing for the story not the voices. although i do look to see whos playing who and be like oh cool hes in this thatll be nice

The story 100%. I actually don't usually play with sound on so VAs mean very little to me.

I play for story and for experiences that are far from my reach in real life. )
If there is a voice acting - it's a huge boon, but that's not a reason for skipping a game for me.

For me, it's the story and also the characters. If the story is good but I didn't feel any connection with any of the characters/didn't like them, I can't keep playing.

I really like VAs, but the story is the most important thing; I always give almost every Otome genre a chance. What particularly grabs me is the visual style, but I always check the characters' voices when I'm going to play to see who's doing the voice acting.

The story for sure, it's a text-based genre! I play doujin otome as well, and many don't even have voice acting. I enjoy good voice acting, but it isn't a must for me

I think VA does help people get interested into otome games. I was like that at the start but now I focus on the story so I dont waste my time reading it.

I think I go for the story setting. But If my favorite VAs are in it, it's a bonus for me.

Probably the story/setting more since that's the thing I check out first but I really enjoy certain VAs and if they're in it that's a lot more encouragement to try it out. I'm also more willing to push through something a bit more boring just to hear them speak lol

I'm more of a visuals and premise first kind of guy, but there are some games that I want to play just for the voice cast despite not feeling strongly about the premise like Dialovers.

Voice acting is something I consider a neat little bonus, not something that I absolutely need to enjoy a game, really.

Honestly? It's mainly the visuals, if I don't like how a guy looks I tend to play him first since I like to save my favorite looking men for last.

Both story and VAs are important. But if my budget is limited, I would first consider story, then VAs and visuals.

The setting and the visuals! I dont care much about VAs as long as their acting is good =)))

The story is the most important thing. If it doesn't resonate with me then I won't like a game no matter what.

as much as i love my fave VAs, the story is still more important to me to continue playing. VA in an otome game isn't that necessary for me anyway since ive read many VNs without it
