What's your opinion on female love interest in otome media?

there has been a similar thread not long ago, so im just gonna parrot myself again:
they can be cute! im not against them per se, but since they are not part of the genre as a whole (because the genre is gxb, or female mc male lis), i dont think that every single otome needs a yuri route. and im a massive yuributa too, so dont jump me!
i feel like we already have way too many conflicts on the western side of the internet regarding the entire genre of otome, like male mc, the ability to choose pronouns, bl shipping, and yuri routes all mixing in together just to label anyone who opposes it or chooses to follow the correct definition as "homophobic" or "transphobic" or "everythingelsephobic", and its just. so silly its not even funny! the entire genre is treated like a joke at this point, and you never see this kind of energy towards bishoujoge or bl or yuri games;-;
everything is good in moderation methinks! like, a 5:1 ratio is okay. a 3:1 ratio is veryveryvery thin ice, and 2:1 or 1:1 ratio is not otome anymore in my eyes. like, its totally fine to just label yourself as a romance game! the "otome" label is not an "all-you-can-eat" buffet which can have everything shoved into it, and thats totally normal;-;!!
