My English is not very good, so I apologize for some grammar errors. As the number of otome games gradually increases, I discover a serious phenomenon. Most otome games are limited to the comfort zone of electronic novels. Generally speaking, if there are other types of gameplay, it is usually a general audience game with elements of otome rather than an otome game in conventional sense. To be honest, as an otome game player, I'm eager to have more kinds of otome gameplays. Every time I browse Dlsite, I feel frustrated by the gap between the gameplays of gal game and otome games.

im more than okay with otome games just being a pure reading experience! im already nervous about having to make choices, but if i also have to fight for my love in some combat situation or complex gameplay, i dont think ill be able to make it to the end.. ww

obviously if theres gameplay in otome im not gonna just blindly throw it away! but if i had to choose between an otome with gameplay elements and an otome where you just read, id go with the latter. i totally get peoples desire to see more gameplay-oriented otome, but for me, i can scratch that itch in any other genre. after all, for me personally, the most important thing in otome is the love that blooms between the protagonist and love interests^^

I actually prefer otome visual novels to other formats. I like otome RPGs too, but for games with multiple routes, it can be a bit of a hassle to start over again and again to get different endings :(

I don't mind it too much if there's not many LIs, but it can get overwhelming sometimes. Gameplay elements can be a good change of pace when you get bored of pure reading, so I do think it's good to have a balance!

I'd love an otome rpg! Like persona 3 portable but make it an actual otome too.

i'm so on the fence about this because i'm simply horrible at video games. the only ones i'm confident i can play are turn-based rpgs so my slow ass doesn't have to worry about... reacting fast to things... but i wouldn't say no to more variety because i know i'm the exception LOL i totally understand people who would like to branch out a little!

I would love for there to be more otome games with gameplay too. Especially RPGs. I don't know if the companies have actual numbers and they concluded that girls don't play RPGs, or if it's just thoughtless misogyny, but we don't get many games with a bit more hardcore gameplay at all.

Even though people hate gacha games, every time I go to the Love and deepspace community and see them discuss how to win battles, which companion to use, I wish we could have more games like that (but not gacha...) Fighting alongside handsome men is romantic in its own way.

Persona used to have a female protagonist but they didn't include her in new versions. It is truly disappointing.

I agree with all the comments about wanting an otome RPG game. I also like playing visual novel otome games, but I also enjoy storylines that are exciting and engaging. However, some otome games have mini-games included, which I really like too—it feels really cute and fun. (。•̀ᴗ-)✧

It's the limitation of technique and maybe also the cost that people only care about "man" market for the RPG or other games. Now there are many RPGs with female player that can be selected and lower game difficulty option to attract female player into the game, which good (but many companies are too lazy to do that)~~~
