For me, it is. Personally, I don't think I've enjoyed any other otome game as much so far. Then again, I probably haven't played as many as other people have, so I haven't really found a new favorite yet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My first otome was the benchmark for a long time for the overall plot and for having multiple fantastic LIs. That's changed now that I've found so many great games that also have unique routes/endings for each LI.

i dont even remember what my first otome was.. was it my candy love? or some mobile game? did i even play mobile games back then? i seriously dont remember ww..;-;
the only titles that i have in the back of my mind are my candy love and hatoful boyfriend. im like 100% sure neither of those were my first otome though

my candy love was,, eh, it was fine, but the monetization was really messing with me. if only i knew how bad its gonna get in the future..;; i really liked the lake house aka the fangame though! sigh so many memories with these characters..
hatoful boyfriend was very fun at first, but then nageki route hit. and then shuu. and then the true route and i was fuckign devastated WWWW. although i wouldnt claim it as my all-time favourite, i still hold it very dear to my heart! maybe i should reread it soon.. after i finish rereading room no.9 at least..

guess im still looking for that ultimate otome game that will completely rewire my brain. luckily there are still tons of otome games to explore, so i cant wait^^

it was hakuoki for me... i was 8 years old with english being my 3rd language. i had no idea what was going on most of the time. it was above my comprehension level rip

I don't exactly remember what my first otome game was haha it's been way too long, but I'm pretty sure it was either Amnesia or Starry Sky in Spring. There weren't many otome games available in English at the time and it was also around that time that I learned about otome games. I wouldn't say either one of them is my all time fave, but they are two of my faves and are special to me since that's how I started playing otome games :giggle:

Tokimeki Memorial was the first game I ever played. I'm really grateful they released it. It's not the best game ever, but getting frustrated with the bombs is actually a fond memory.

It was, and it still is among the best I've played, but nothing is permanent in the world.

yes, my candy love ❤️

i've been playing since 2012 (when i was still a child 😭) and although i love many other otome games, it seems like this one will never leave my top 1.

Nope. My 1st mobile otome game was Shall we date: The Niflheim and my 1st console/pc otome was Amnesia: Memories- I've got a huge soft spot for both but neither of them are my all-time faves.

Amnesia was my first, it has a special place in my heart but I will not say that it is my favorite.

Haha no as the first ones I remember were mobile ones then the first sort of serious one was Sweet Fuse and Hakuouki which are great games but don't stand out in terms of plot and character development in the sea of games out at the moment. X

Mine was a pacthesis game, don't really remember which one lol. Not my all-time favorite, but I do feel some nostalgia.

Mine was Yo-Jin-Bo, and I still like the game (I actually replayed it a couple weeks ago), but it's not my favourite! I think the further back you go for someone playing their first otome, the less likely it'll be their favourite still. There was some slim pickings back in my day!

My first is not my favorite but I will always look back fondly as its what got me into the otome fiend I am today. (My first otome was ninja love d( > _・ ))

The first otome game I played was "Birdcage no Mariage". Although it wasn't my favorite otome game, it opened the door to otome games for me and made me fall in love with them!

I don't remember what my first otome game could be, but I do know that Amnesia is my first otome game that fits the traditional visual novel model. I think the game's a good introduction to otome games in my experience but it definitely isn't my favorite.

I'm quite fond of the game *Amnesia*. Its four storylines build upon one another layer by layer, culminating in a final "Truth Route" that is truly stunning—and the narrative logic holds together perfectly. The character art, CGs, and voice acting are all excellent; furthermore, the subsequent installments successfully rounded out the overarching storyline, thoroughly satisfied.

I remember my veeery first otoge was Garnet Cradle, I was so entranced by it's music (and now I'm a BIIGG fan of Elements Garden) and beautiful art..
the fantasy story was soo good, and sometimes bitter sad too.. it might not be the bestest I've ever played, but definitely one of the great ones in my heart!

my first real otome yes but i played a bunch of those interactive romances story games(werewolves haven rising my fav) and stuff like episode in high school before i knew what otome was and played it
