i started with BL games before otomes so they'll always have a special place in my heart. i really do love otome but BL just barely beats it because i've been into it longer.
Which one do you prefer? Only playing bl games or only playing otome games for the rest of your life?

Man, this is a tough question!
I'll say BL simply because I do tend to gravitate more towards BL media as a gay fudanshi and it's a kind of comfort zone for me, but the hypothetical idea of playing only one genre of games for the rest of my life makes me sad haha. I need variety in my life! I'm someone who needs to rotate between genres or else I get genre fatigue.

I love both, but I guess I'll choose BL because there are many that dare to explore darker themes that I enjoy. And I love how the MC and LIs are on equal standing in most games where the MC doesn't hesitate to fight back or even commit crimes to in some cases. To be honest, I have a hard time finding otome game that I like lately but it's super rewarding when I do.

Otome. Why would I give up on being a female MC and romancing hot guys? It's a rare genre.

This is a bit too easy for me since I already mostly engage with otome content in, like, 99% of cases... I used to be SUPER into BL when I was younger but that was so many years ago that at this point I just tend to be far more critical of the media I consume and that tends to give me the ick when engaging with most of BL. Hopefully I can find a way to enjoy it again. (ó﹏ò｡)
