Thoughts on shota/youger li?

I don't dislike younger-looking characters at all — in fact, they really bring out my protective side. Tokisada from Olympia is super cute, and I love it when he calls me "お姉ちゃん(oneechan)" I also really enjoy it when characters with that kind of setup struggle with feeling too childish and want to grow up quickly to become more mature and reliable. That kind of character development is something I really like.:lapi_love:

Personally, I'm not really into Shouta characters, though there are exceptions like in *Ken ga Kimi* and *Collar Malice*

I don't mind them, I do prefer older brothers vs younger brother characters though.

I'm okay with shotas if main character is roughly the same age. If MC is much older - not my thing. Having younger brothers in real life teaches how insolent real shotas are, so no appeal at all. (;´∀`)

They're generally not my cup of tea. On the appearance aspect, I don't feel attracted to the shota look, and personality-wise I prefer older and more mature characters. But I will still try their routes if available, I don't actually dislike them lol

Most of the time I don't mind them, but I personally like the gap moe of a shota character who acts mature or at least trying hard to keep up with the MC

Personally they're not my type, but if they are close in age to the MC, it's not such a dealbreaker.

I like them cause they too cute =))) I like anything that brings out my protective side, but also the gap moe when they in another mood is justttt [chefs kiss]

It doesn't bother me; the only difference that would make me see them as a possible couple is if they're teenagers (even if they're younger than the protagonist). But like Wataru from Brothers Conflict, I feel uncomfortable. I find him cute and see him as a son or younger brother, but as a possible partner at that age, it would be impossible for me.:akazukin_sweat:

don't really like younger LIs as they seem very childish too me which makes me very uncomfortable. i even dislike older characters that look young or childish, just creeps me out

I do like them but I don't like how they're written in most otome games. A lot of them fall in the "don't treat me like a kid/younger brother" category which just gets boring.

If you mean actual children character romances then no I don't like them, only platonic friendship/family routes.

Characters designed to look younger but are of equal or close enough age to the protagonist? I don't mind as long as they are interesting characters. I don't seek them out though but I still think they are super cute!

I don't mind them; it just depends how they're written. Tokisada from Olympia Soirée's route was enjoyable, and the shota routes in the TMGS series are really cute.

I don't mind them much or rather it's up to story. I mean if the love is mutual in appropriate way, I'm fine. Once it is in realm of rape and alike, I'm out.

If both the love interest and the MC are of legal age, I don't see a problem, like in the case of Wataru and Serina from HanaKare. Now, if it's something like Wataru from Brothers Conflict or Ken from Persona 3, I feel uncomfortable and can't play that route.
Definitely same, they either make me uncomfortable or make me switch to like a protective mode.

I think they are cute lol
Of course it also depends on how they're written.

If they are just a 生意気なガキ a bratty little kid then i pass XD

I like it because it's cute. Opinions are divided on whether the characters grow up by the end, aren't they? I was shocked when Hakuryu grew up in *Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3*.

I feel an urge to protect young LI. However, that is not romantic love... I expect romance from otome games, so young LI are not for me.

I don't like characters who act or talk in a childish way. I don't mind if the LI is a year or two younger than the MC, as long as they speak normally or act mature for their age.
