Welcome to Anime-Sharing v2.3

It looks modern and nice, but the forum has become too heavy. I think those with weaker computers will immediately feel lag. Especially when you open more tabs

The only thing I don't like is the titles when you create a topic, in the previous version the titles for creating a topic were larger.

Obviously, I'm pushing update and optimize everything on day to day basis. It would be helpful if you can tell me where the lags are.
I assure you in the past 3 days, I've push 2 new updates that optimize resources usage to client.

The update seems great to me, but something I miss is that unapproved threads are no longer visible in the queue within the forums. It was useful for quickly checking if you were about to accidentally repost the same thing or edit something incorrectly. I hope it becomes available again.

I don't think anything has changed in that aspect. Which queue are you talking about though?

Oh ok, that hadn't been changed. However, after a couple of hours, you won't be able to see it anymore, it's for performance reason but it isn't new at all. It was the default behaviour back to ASF v2

Where did all the recent updates on top of the first page under the discussion category went to? It seems to show only followed thread, which I have exactly one, instead of most recent postings overall that used to be the usual behavior of that area?

Not sure if it will change with further movement as I had just logged on though.

UPDATE: Things appear to be back to normal now.

In listing mode, can be change the color of "New " link ? I tried to highlight it with an addon but is not a text: it happen to see the thread names something as <LONG TITLE NAME> New (9 Viewers) all in white and is difficoult to spot the New link in the middle;
Thanks.

edit: now is perfect!!

Is a lighter dark theme possible? Like a blue-ish or grey-ish theme?
Currently There's only light or dark..
light mode is too bright and full dark on white text is very hard to read for ppl with astigmatism..

Why are all modern sites nowdays either full light or full black mode, even twitter removed their dim option and only left with light or dark..

Hello,

As soon as I receive information regarding client resources, device specifics, RAM constraints, CPU, and more, I will optimize the DOM. Over the past three days, I have implemented several updates, and it should be performing well now. If you still encounter any issues, please let me know and specify which page you are referring to.

I have already fixed it. I maintain a triage list, so if a bug does not lead to a complete service failure, it is placed at the bottom of the list. However, it will eventually be addressed.

The answer to your question is cost. Maintaining two versions of the site is quite expensive; every color and GUI decision must be carefully verified against two layouts, essentially doubling the work. Most companies, including banks, forgo the second layout because the costs can quickly add up, and the same goes for large corporations.

Unfortunately, it's not feasible for me to support more than what I'm already managing. The only reason I continue to offer the light theme is that the users have not complained about it being "too bright." Otherwise, I would eliminate it and save money. We have huge budget constraints.

I love the shiny badge tags and clean homepage view.

Edit:
Feedback:

  1. I noticed theres a slowdown on posting replies, took a 16.51 seconds before my reply and edit was accepted as well as giving reactions

ok, the websocket crashed, I restored it, supposedly, this should be automated but it isn't, I'm fixing that.

I tried the stickied profile posts but I sort of wish the highlight would just be the post and not the replies.

Edit: or maybe maybe to choose to stick those replies, if we want?

Hello,

Firefox takes almost 6 GB RAM with multiple tabs open from Anime-Sharing, before of course it worked faster.

I think the problem is with the live updates on the forum, for example: When you have a forum open in tabs, for example the Hentai OVAs forum, new topics automatically appear without refreshing the page.

That's just my opinion, it doesn't mean I'm right

Great new update, it looks a lot more modern now. One issue, ever since the update I am unable to see any kind of thumbnails. If I search for something all the results just have a blank/black space before the thread name.

you have any screenshot?

Here you go. I am not remembering it wrong, right? I am pretty sure I had thumbnails on search results before.

Your vpn or something else block our CDN url, could be your AV.
I'm tired of telling everyone to white list our website.

there could be an update to your AV or VPN, you can easily take a look at the network tab, from F12, you will see whether the image links are loaded or not when you try to search something

That will give you some clue what's blocking

What does AV mean? I am not knowledgeable about any of this, but I will look into whether or not the issue is from my side.

I noticed the game covers in otome section in the homepage are blurred despite some not being in the H section.
