Or my main gripes :ROFLMAO: Plz share with me any positive or negative experiences with me. :giggle:

This is not entirely regarding story or character related, but a me issue.

Am I the only who is always excitedly pressing to read the dialogue and accidentally selects a choice? Only to realize I haven't saved in a while as I was focused on the story and I have to go back and skip through it all over again and it sometimes happens that I DO IT AGAIN  It annoys me because I either have no idea what I selected or it completely ruins the route because of a choice I didn't want to select so of course I go back, and it's not even an isolated incident, it happens to me the most on the switch when I don't press the screen and instead I do it through the button. xd

It's funny because I never learn and It always happens because I get distracted by the story, forget to save and bam, accidentally choose something. This is why I love when you can go back to a previous dialogue through the backlog without saving your choice, saves me time and I don't have to go back to my previous save and just quickly select what I actually want . Meaning quick save is also a must to me haha (When I remember, that is.)

Also, regarding UI, I don't know why but sometimes UIs in many otome games is a bit ugly? When I find one that actually puts effort and looks nice, I'm pretty happy.

This happens to me quite a bit too! I generally spam the A button (or whatever button to continue dialogue) and then it clicks on a choice for me, but luckily a lot of games have that go back feature. If they don't though, generally I'll just keep playing with that choice made instead of restarting- I play blind and rarely get good ends my first try anyways lol

Something kind of similar happens to me sometimes during my first playthrough. I also have to go back and select other choices. Not because I chose by accident, but because of my expectations for a given choice. I like to choose options that I think sound reasonable based on the wording alone, only to be disappointed by the protagonist or the people around her reacting in a different way than I expected.

For me, this rarely happens because I adjust the settings so that the words in the dialogue box appear quickly instead of slowly, so when I click the Switch button to advance to the next dialogue, the entire dialogue appears and I don't need to excitedly press the button

I've also experienced this and I always get annoyed when you click on an option and the MC reacts or says something that isn't entirely related to the choice or that the option made clear enough.

Can I complain about Karin games? I don't complain when games introduce different mechanics, but why have a choice time to answer something so basic? And this is in all her games. After a while I got used to it, and at least it gives you the option to go back or skip the entire dialogue until the next choice, which is at least a positive. I wish all games had the option to skip directly to the choice option, especially when more than half the game is a common route.

I thought this about code:realize's UI lmaooo
You are absolutely right! While I don't mind if the text box is a plain black transparent box, I think it could be a bit more creative without being too much. Like you've got this gorgeous art and then bam, plain black transparent text box across the screen. :ROFLMAO: Might be just my preference tho.

I totally get this, I think I suffered this more with the tell tale kind of games, sometimes the text in the choice really doesn't fit what the character actually says or how they do it, like the actual tone haha

Yeah, I think timed choices should be reserved for actual important decisions or things that have a true impact on how the route continues or the ending, it's an odd choice to use it for basic things . Unless It's at the beginning to teach you the mechanic, I don't see the reasoning haha

literally!! It took me so off-guard I thought it was a bug. I usually turn the heroine face off, so I tried toggling it on and off to see if anything changed and... it looked even more jarring with the portrait on... I just couldn't HAHA

Yes!! It happens to me a lot. In my case, when I play on an emulator, get hooked with the story, forget to save, and then my tablet decides it's a good time to close the app, so I have to replay it all over again 🫠🥲
