I only restart a game if I don't remember much. But if I do, then I'll just continue from where I left off.

It depends on how long ago i stopped playing it. Nowadays i tend to restart from scratch because i always forget the plot 🥲
 
Usually I at least finish the LI route I'm on before I drop a game, so when I do come back after a long time I technically restart because I re-read the common route but I don't replay the same LI route.
 
I fear that if I restart the game I'd get back to where I was and take a break again. And then I'd try to restart it again later... Just to do the same thing T_T
 
If it were me, and I had a vague recollection of it, I think I'd resume the game from where I left off, hoping my memory would come back.
 
It depends on the timeline, a few weeks it is fine to continue because the memory is there. But a few months or even years... it's better to restart. If it is boring, I at least skim through parts I played previously to recall what happened.
 
I would just continue if you still remember the common route/if the routes are separate enough that you don't need to remember everything from the other routes you played already.
 
How long is the break? If it's within the year I might just continue, but if not, I'll just choose to restart.
 
I think that most of the time I can sort of remember the plot. Occasionally the plot is very complicated and I'm like "what are these people talking about?" and that's my sign to re-start or go back a little.
 
Usually I just continue, but if I really don't remember much, then I'll (sometimes) restart.
 
If I have general idea what the plot is, I would continue where I left off. However, if I have absolutely no memories of the plot left whatsoever, I guess I'd restart ...(╥_╥)
 
If I remember the story, I'll start from where I left off; if not, I'll start from the beginning.

But I've never actually finished a game I've started and then quit halfway through.
 
I always replay games after a long break, but that's because I am easily distracted and what I think will only be a couple weeks-long break ends up being a months-long or even years-long break due to how easily carried away I am with other things ^^"
 
depends on how long of a break i took if it's a few weeks or a month then continue but if it's many months or few years then restart
 
If I'm in the middle of a route, I'll likely restart because i know i'm definitely not gonna remember what was going on at the time 😭 but in general I enjoy restarting things. If I've 100% completed a game before and have everything unlocked, sometimes I'll delete all the data and reinstall it just to unlock everything all over again!

Personally, I'd restart from scratch. My memory is ass and I cannot enjoy a route when I have no idea what is going on in it beforehand. But if you have a better memory than I do, I suggest you restart from where you left off 😅

Honestly I also restart, my mermory is like... Dory's in Finding Nemo. If I took a long break before returning to the game, I just can't seem to enjoy the route the same If I don't have a fresh memory of all that has happened with the LI, it just doesn't feel the same to me.
 
It depends. I'm not a big fan of rereading, but if I forget a key plot moments, I'll scan through those bits to catch up. Usually i just pick up right where I stopped
 
I would start them again so I could have all the story details fresh in my mind. I've played games that are released episodically and tried to pick up where I left off, but I always forget some small details.
 
I will start playing from the beginning because I have almost forgotten the previous plot
 
I just continue where I left it. Maybe reread some parts that is important to the story, but usually I remember main details to skip most of it.
 
I want to play with a fresh perspective, so I'm starting from the beginning.
No matter how interesting the story is, you'll forget it if you haven't played for a long time.
 
If I haven't completely forgotten the story, usually I just continue.
