Do you use the in-game dictionary when playing otome games? If so, how often?

I find myself using the dictionary quite often, especially when it comes to in game lore that is made up, or real life things that I don't know.

I occasionally use it when I need a refresher on certain topics! I'm extremely into historical fantasy but since I'm not japanese there's been times where I recognize a name but not what they've done.

I always check it. It's vital for my gameplay, especially in games like Piofiore where they have a lot of foreign terminology

Whenever I see new a word, I stop all what I'm doing and study it until I forget the plot of the story. Like in Cafe Enchante the in-game directory is not that bad and doesn't pull away from the emersion, but with lets Gilded Shadows from itchio, the dictionary dominates the whole game and its get super complicated (also in When Stars Collide).

I use it all the time until I get the hang of the game world.

After the second playthrough, I hardly ever use it.

i think it heavily relies on how easy the dictionary is to use.. i'm currently playing tengoku struggle but i feel like the dictionary is such a pain LOL so i never end up using it
if i read a foreign term i pretty much just let context fill in the gaps and let my brain learn the meaning once it appears across multiple situations
