All good otome games are made up of several different deres. Personally, I absolutely love tsunderes, even outside of VNs.

You guys can talk about your favorite types here too. But it's not like I care or anything! Hmph! (sorry i couldnt resist lol)

Oh I'm also a big fan of Tsunderes; it's my weakness in anime and otome games. I love it when in otome games there are options that let us annoy them lol. I also love Yangires and would like to see more love interests like that in otome games (it's not a dere type, I know, but I wanted to mention it anyway since nobody talks about that type ¯\_ʘ‿ʘ_/¯). Now, one dere type that I'm not a big fan of is Yanderes. Their possessive and obsessive nature makes me uncomfortable because in the end I don't know if they truly love the person they're targeting or if they only see them as an object to unload their emotions on. I also find it quite tiresome how partially evil they are ported, or maybe I'm just tired of seeing this archetype in otome games so often! It's boring and shallow, honestly (my opinion, of course, nothing against those who enjoy Yanderes!). If otome games are going to feature problematic and unstable love interests, they should be whole and not partial!

I'm a sucker for yanderes! The crazier the better. Even though I started with otome, I got really into VNs from BL and eroge (my favorite VN is Soukou Akki Muramasa lol), so darker/horror settings are more my style. I particularly like very unstable, anguished and desperate characters, and I even enjoy more violent/gory and tragic stories! I also like dandere, because I think they're cute haha

I'm not really into kuuderes and tsunderes, although it's not a fixed thing (I'm very open to all kinds of routes, and sometimes a kuudere/tsundere will surprise me, while the yandere disappoints me!). I'd say is because their routes can be very frustrating, more so kuudere characters. Characters that don't express their emotions feel a bit boring to me :(

I like tsunderes (and himbos, but that's not a dere, lol). Sometimes I like kuuderes as well, same with yandere. As for what I dislike, I don't really have a dere that I tend to avoid. It's not a dere, but I don't like the playboy type!

I love tsunderes, but only if they have a satisfying arc. tsunderes that stay mean/standoffish really take away from the romance imo… It's really sweet to see a tsundere character open up, but really frustrating and boring if they don't change and keep being unkind to the protagonist.

tbh i'm open to all of them!!! it all depends on how they're written, i'm less interested if they're way too one-dimensional (maybe i'm just stating the obvious lol)

i take other things into consideration too (character design, if i like their interactions with mc, if the route itself was enjoyable) like i love shitara from tmgs3, but sasazuka from cxm isn't my fave (it's shiraishi). they're different types of tsundere.. so it's case-by-case for me ^^

Hahaha, that was happening to me when I was playing Taisho x Alice. Alice was really rude to the protagonist at the beginning, and I got such a bad impression of him that I started skipping his dialogues because he annoyed me every time he insulted the protagonist. Now that I'm finishing the game and finally understand him, he's become one of my favorite characters in the game and one of my favorite Tsunderes.

Big fan of yanderes but honestly if the story is good enough, any character can get me interested.

I played Alice=Alice's King route first (I usually play from least fav to most fav) but he ended up being quite a favourite for me because of his true ending. ;w;

IM A BIG FAN OF TSUNDERE & YANDERE!!!!!!!!! <3 this not really a dere types but my least faves are oresama, playboy type & mature/older guys (like those who have big age gap to the heroine). sometimes it could depends! but generally those are what I'm not into

I like kuudere types. I'm not really a fan of yandere. I prefer ones that feel cute.

  • Tsunderes are great too when it's less of overtly hostile and more of too-embarrassed-to-admit-I-care.
  • As for least favorite (within the scope of the more known types since apparently there way were more I did not know about), I can't handle the super intense yanderes. Obsession is easy peasy, but when games get understandably exploratory when it comes to more violent, gory, and murdery sides, I get squeamish.

i like yandere or bad boys mainly. some guys appeal to me physically but i am not really into shy guys most of the time
 
My favorite type is the gentle kind of guy — someone who's always looking out for me and cheering me on. That's just the best. I'm open to other types too, but I really don't like scenes where the guy hurts me. I'm honestly just scared of pain, lol.
 
I like man who with a little dangerous and evil ，I don't like typical nice guy ，I perfer to enjoy some exciting stories in the game.
 
my favorites are yandere and kuudere and least favorite is tsundere but i don't completely hate it there are some tsundere LIs I have a soft spot for like toma from irresistible mistakes
 
I really like yandere. I also like deredere (sadly those characters are pretty hard to find). I also like tsundere, but the least I interested in kuudere. I might play such characters route, but only if I really liked them and after all other routes.
 
I'm a big fan of tsunderes and then yanderes but only if they are done right, there are a lot of exaggerated ones.
 
I'll always have a soft spot for tsunderes—their mix of attitude and hidden warmth never gets old.
 
i have the weakest spot for yanderes i totally blame kisshu from tokyo mew mew for starting this lol my least would probably be kuudere unless they are insanely calculative or something or else it fails to grab me
 
I like Yandere characters. I always have a soft spot for this type of character because of their red-flag yet romantic personality. Then I like Deredere characters because they're easy to win over since they're in love with the character from the start. And finally, I like Tsundere characters because they have such cute reactions. ><
 
I love yandere and tsundere characters! But kuuderes just never really seemed to speak to me really. I have some characters that I like that are kuudere but I don't feel anything super strong towards them like I do with yanderes/tsunderes.
 
there honestly isn't a dere type that i dislike, but my favorites are tsundere and yandere! since they are my favorites, tsundere and yandere are probably the two deres that upset me the most when i feel they aren't done well. one-dimensional/overexaggerated yanderes and static tsunderes that don't open up and just stay hostile the whole time frustrate me so much, but the ones that are done well are my absolute favorites!
