Which characters from otome games have actually scared you?

It might be scary in a different sense, but everyone was scary during the dark route in OVER REQUIEMZ.
Maybe all yandere characters are scary?
 
caleb from love and deepspace. he was supposed to be an adopted brother, then he's gone (we thought he's dead) but then he suddenly appeared and there's just so many questions and confusion around him. he hides too many things from mc.. :/
 
Even though he's one of my fav Li in all the otome games I've played so far and I love him a lot, Kanato Sakamaki himself... I wouldn't say he's scary, but he's unsettling because he seems quite volatile and the slightest thing can make him freak out. While I find it hilarious and I always choose options to annoy him on purpose (I love most of the bad endings in DiaLovers, here in most cases I play to get the bad endings instead of the good ones), I find myself thinking that if I were in Yui's place I would feel a little uncomfortable saying something that would annoy him and make him freak out. Another one I thought of now is Ukyo from Amnesia Memories. I've never done his route because he's always scared me ngl. Oh, and there's also Shuu from Hatoful Boyfriend! To this day I regret not being able to finish this game when it was available for Android, but of all characters I could have end up with I had the misfortune of ending up on Shuu's route when I played and all I can say is that his bad ending traumatized me. Thinking about it now, he's the scariest I know. And after him comes Masato from Moshikami, he's not quite right in the head and gives me the creeps, just thinking about him makes me uncomfortable (⁠•⁠ ⁠▽⁠ ⁠•⁠;⁠)

hbf mentioned...!! shuu's route is wild. what ending did you get?

hatoful boyfriend is really good, i recommend giving it a try again if you ever feel like it <3

I would love to play this game again, but unfortunately it's no longer available for Android. I've tried installing it several times, but the game won't run, and I don't have a PC to play it. The only thing to do is pray that it will one day be released for Switch.

Regarding the Shuu's bad ending,
I got one where Shuu makes the protagonist eat one of the pigeons without her knowing (I don't remember which one it was) and then kills her and keeps her brain (or is it her head?) lol something like that.
It's been so long since I played, I think it was around 2017, so it might not be entirely accurate. I remember getting other bad endings with a pigeon whose name I don't remember, but he was quite crazy! But that ending with Shuu that I got in the game, I remember it was the last one I got and it made me think "wtf am I playing?? this game is weird and confusing!" And uninstall the game because I was upset and confused, lol. If I could go back in time with my current mindset, I would definitely get all the bad endings, but I wouldn't care like I used to (I used to get super annoyed when I got a bad ending!).

Oh my gosh, I had totally forgotten about Hatoful Boyfriend! Yes, Shuu was insane! I got one where the MC gets their head cut off and he keeps it. Other than this game though, I don't think I've run into any game that genuinely scared me. Maybe Piofiore for a particular route, but that was less scared and more just sad about the reality.

Oh this one! You got the same ending as me XD I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one traumatized by ths ending and that crazy doctor

i hope you can play it one day! watching a playthrough is always an option but i rarely go for it myself bc i want to be the one playing it... even if it's a vn i want to be pressing the buttons to advance the story lol it's just more immersive that way!!

about the bad ending:

that was his true end, actually... believe it or not omfg. that's just how shuu is like. hbf is insane (i mean this positively ofc)

i'm crying he made you drop the game.. understandable tbh

Is this the "good" ending?! Hahaha, I'm perplexed and confused about how this can be considered a "good" ending![/SPOLIER]

But then again, it's a game about dating pigeons, I don't know why I'm asking for logic hahaha. Oh, I really wish I could play now and get the other endings with the others! I refuse to watch gameplay because, like you, I feel more emotion playing and making the choices myself. I'll patiently wait for it to come out on Switch.

Isora from 7'scarlet is definitely quite disturbing; I remember feeling uneasy on her route. Ran from UN:Logical also sometimes left me feeling a bit unsettled.
 
ive unfortunately become immune to feeling scared by characters just because of how much ive actively seeked out yandere content / horror content myself over the years so probably only one character has ever actually unnerved me and that's tei from nameless ^^

i was still younger when i tried out nameless and even though at the time i had played amnesia and mysme before so it's not like i wasnt used to yanderes but he was ?? terrifying to me for some reason ??? and i really really liked that ???

he also has a bad ending where he turns eri into a ball jointed doll like himself except she cant speak or move and i think that changed little me's brain chemistry in a way that cannot be undone - lots of lis have had similar bad endings but to me tei will always be the og and most impactful one

I bought the Android version of HatoKare way back then and weirdly enough, it still works for me! Shuu's endings are crazy, but the Bad Boys Love route manages to be even crazier than that. It's an one of a kind experience for sure, haha

Yo I was doing nothing rn and just for fun I tried to install the game again after reading ur comment and it worked!! Idk what I did this time for the game finally open but well now I will finally finish all the routes!!

Yang from Piofore. The fact the man could just stab a woman who loved him to kill the man he wants to kill...or to sell her when he gets bored. That dude was ruthless.
 
Ukyo in another route from Amnesia when I just started playing the otome game. This is the first time I've encountered something like this in an otome game. But after playing many games for over ten years, there aren't any characters that are particularly scary anymore. My heart's so strong with power of love otome game😂
