What are your thoughts about otome games with multiple protagonists?

I normally play games with just a single protagonist, but I kind of liked how Him, The Smile & Bloom did it. I felt like they fit the different protagonists in well, even though you only sometimes met the other protagonists in it and not in all the routes if I remember correctly.

I really liked how norn9 did it and having multiple protags forces them to have different personalities for each one which is fun!

I enjoy multi-MC games where each lead has their own unique set of routes. I also loved how the MC's personality in Ayakashi Gohan shifted based on common route decisions, even if it wasn't a true multi-MC game.

I've never played any games like that, but I've played two where the mc is the antagonist of the other game and vice versa (Jooubachi no oubou, technically eroge but it's otome) and that was interesting. Maybe having two opposite stories in one game could be cool too?

I played Norn quite a while ago, and I initially found it quite innovative.
Personally, I found it easier to play with just one protagonist.

my only experience with this is with Norn9, and I think it's pretty enjoyable as long the the team writes nice scenarios, I do like to see different POVs from different shujinko, but personally I think I prefer 1 shujinko cause sometimes the scenario got repetitive w/ multiple shujinko

As long as they can pull off the execution and each MC can be distinct, I'd just go for it.

Especially if I love the otome's art style... I will never say no to seeing more pretty art!

I somehow want girls' love when there are several cute protagnoists. I don't really get the attraction of having multiple protagonists if it means less stories for each LIs.

As long as they don't lock the LIs to certain MCs, because I'd like to see how different it would be if a LI interacts with each MC

For me , It's good and bad
Mostly it depends on storyline, if the game make one sound good kind and another bad evil person , there's a Japanese otome game i played two years ago, about heroine got kicked from her world to another world and one of another protagonist's MLs was treating her bad and he killed her in some of bad endings 🔪 i was so annoyed , she was dumb and i like her personality , i didn't feel like playing as another protagonist, since i was so annoyed and didn't want to meet that villain or see the innocent dumb part of another protagonist , anyway if protagonists were nice to each other , i don't have a problem with playing with many protagonists like Nora 9 it was one of best games with many protagonists

I prefer games with a single protagonist.
When there are multiple protagonists, I get confused about who to empathize with,
so I can only really empathize with one character per game.
