So I just finished Edward's route in Mistonia's Hope yesterday and just found out apparently??? People hated it??? But I LOVED IT LOVED EVERY SECOND LOVED EVERY DIALOGUE!!! Like sure call me boring and simple but I loved it. I love him lol.
Yea I think the plot could've done more things about a certain incident we're supposed to be investigating there but like. I generally feel this way about most otoge lmao so I enjoyed it all on the basis that it was all to show me his best sides as a character, I don't know if others will agree but even the most popular titles always feel like they could be doing... more? With their stories and themes. But they just don't and it doesn't always feel like it's just something that happens to stick to the genre's most favorite formulas or time constraints... Am I just nit-picky?
He's so!! Fluffy! So sweet! A charming prince! A kind sweet uncomplicated guy who I, a self-inserter, could actually see falling in love w/me even if I wasn't playing the same role as or looked like the heroine in the game. Tbh maybe I just need more kind people in my life, because his whole wanting her to give up the revenge and live a happy life instead thing made me cry? Bro is such a positive influence who would 10/10 support us mentally ill folks whether as a partner or a friend and tbh I can get behind that type of character I want to see him happy and fulfilled and for some reason I also want him to be the host of a cooking show (I think he has the vibe a host of a cooking show needs... always serene and optimistic while the cooks fight for their lives in the kitchen... lol), he's so kind and gentle!!!
And also, as you can see on the pfp I have while I'm posting this... I love Dante who, much like Edward, is 1. a poster boy and 2. has a route people call boring and 3. MY FAVORITE BOI.

Do you have a fav like that? A game, a character or route that you loved but it turned out a lot of people hate it with a passion? This happens to me with movies and shows too tbh.
