Route Order or The Heart Decides Order?

I like following the dev route order if there is one. :D
If there isn't one then I tend to save possible favorites for last.

I'll always follow an official route order, and if the initial routes are LIs I'm not interested in, I'm acting like the distracted boyfriend meme—eyeing the other LIs during routes that aren't theirs.

When I first started playing visual novels in general, I would follow my heart, but my heart often led me to locked routes that required other endings to be finished first. It takes a lot out of me when it already took a while to reach that point, only to need to replay later once I meet the unlock requirements…

i usually start with the LI i have my eyes on, but if it's spoiler heavy, i follow the route order!

Casual ones: Go in blind and reserve LIs for later
Story-heavy ones: Absolute route order

Highest priority for official recommendations if there's any!

I do route orders because most usually the story unfolds from lightest to heaviest and I don't want to immediately get spoiled of the heavy lore. I tried to follow my heart with Nightshade once and did Gekkamaru first, and I wasn't prepared for how depressing it was 🥹

It depends! I usually have 2-3 LIs I really am excited about, and will look at route order to see which one to play first between those. However, for Collar X Malice I did use route order because it was a mystery.

I usually let my heart and my eyes lead me. If a specific LIs is attractive to me or his personality intrigues me (it is usually the emo and edgy LIs that got me. I take the "mind your own damn business" or "why do u care so much? I'm fine" attitude as a challenge to understand them more deeply) so the route is decided. Periodt.

Thus, I don't really use the recommended route much. Even if I get spoilers from choosing that route, it's the price im willing to pay to romance my men.

Usually I go blind the first time and go after who I want then use a guide for the next and usually those have a route order I try to follow.

If I don't have an eye on LIs, then I'd search recommend route order to avoid main story spoiler.

I search the game first if there's a recommended playing order.

For games like Birushana where a there's a recommended playing route, I followed it even if it breaks my heart to play Tomomori as the last one. But for Hakuouki, I didn't follow any route-order and played depending on my favorite character.

I usually go in route order unless theirs's an li that catches my eye.

Recommended order! Though I do browse to see if multiple people say the same or not, I enjoy slow unravelling of storytelling.

喜欢先从自己喜欢的开始,那样玩起来会更有干劲‎ദ്ദിᵔ.˛.ᵔ₎✧

I like to start with what I enjoy, as that gives me more enthusiasm to continue‎ദ്ദിᵔ.˛.ᵔ₎✧

Usually, I see if there an a route order but sometimes I go in order of the characters I like the most first.

I use my own order. Sometimes it is the guy I like the least first to "get it over with" so I can enjoy the routes I like later.

I don't mind spoilers so I often play my fav bois' routes first, they give me the motivation to keep playing the games:)

It depends on whether the game will add content as the number of playthroughs increases. If it does, then I prefer to play in the order recommended by the guide; otherwise, I would start by following the strategy for the characters I like.

I follow my own order since I tend to go with the LIs that I'm least interested to most. I like to save the best for last but of course it's a gamble since I won't know how good the route will be. Unless it's really heavy on the story with major spoiler then I'll follow the recommended route.

start with my favorite character and pursue the childhood friend character last. I feel sorry for her because knowing her hidden feelings would feel like NTR:geek:
