Is there any trope that you absolutely despise?

I would say it doesn't offend me, but it does annoy me when in routes the LI refuses to be in a relationship with the MC because the LI thinks they aren't good enough for the MC. It's just a way to make drama, I get it, but they could spend that time with fluff instead! Also amnesia plots are kinda meh to me as well.

Oh man I actually have an old list of tropes I found annoying in otome and shoujo somewhere. They're more like small pet peeves where I'd huff or roll my eyes but move on. I don't have any single dealbreakers that would make me not play or drop something ...I think. But if a game has too many of these tropes back-to-back, that's a different story.

Anyway, in no particular order:
- LI grabs/holds MC's chin
- MC trying to pick up broken china with her bare hands after dropping it and consequently gets hurt; LI scolds her/tends to her wound
- MC's best friend only talks about boys and romance
- when LI is standing next to another girl (usually pretty, as noted by MC), MC assumes they're dating
- LI wipes the crumbs/frosting/sauce off MC's face and promptly licks/eats it while maintaining eye contact
- LI sleep-talking and/or pulling MC into bed while (half)asleep
- "all men are wolves", "don't forget, I'm a man too/I'm still a man", etc.
- "you're pretty smart/strong/brave...for a girl"
- MC gets told she's interesting/weird by a LI for doing something normal
- one bed (only if they make a big deal about it)
- towards end of route, NPC/another LI comments on how LI has changed and he replies with how it's all bc of MC

I hate the trope of ML even so much as breaths the same air as a women mc gets jealous/upset thinking the ML is dating/cheating with said women. Its so cringe man then you got to get through like half a chapter before they clear it up.

I agree with other comments on jealousy trope! It kinda soured me on DiaLovers in the triplets routes, since they bring Cordelia up all the time!
I've also played some games were the LI had a past lover who died, and the way the MC constantly compared herself to her got on my nerves.

More of a nitpick, but I also dislike LIs who are shy on the common route, just to reveal that they're secretly extremely assertive and pushy when you get on their routes (I don't mind it if they get more confident during the route!)
