Route Order or The Heart Decides Order?

Do you prefer searching for the recommended route order or just play the route of whoever your heart desires?

Personally, I prefer searching up the recommended route order of every otome i start whether it be a story heavy or light hearted otome. I do it because I like the feeling of discovering the secrets of the story bit by bit.

I often search for recommended route, but ultimately it just became a reference for me after I play the route of whoever my heart desires 😂
 
If there are heavy spoilers I avoid doing that route first but generally those routes are locked anyways so I just follow my heart it helps me get hooked on the game, else I will keep wondering about the other route that I actually wanted to do first.
 
i do route orders since its recommended and saves me the brain power of deciding who to do first and next
 
I'm route order too, I like planning ahead. If some routes are more spoilery and I accidently/by choice, read those first, I get really bored in the ones with less story (overall plot mystery). That's why I always play with a guide on hand, honestly though I can't even call it playing at that point, I'm probably just reading.

If the devs themselves have recommended a route order, or enforced one through locking routes, I'll follow it. Even if the lock is "forgiving," like you have to finish one of these three routes before proceeding to this fourth route, I'll do all three routes first.

If the route order is purely coming from the fan who wrote whatever review or walkthrough I'm reading, I truly could not care less.
 
If there's a recommended order, I always try to follow it because I like to see the story unfold gradually, and that way I avoid spoilers
 
I usually play in the order I feel most comfortable with, unless the game itself requires me to play in a certain order.
 
I always follow my heart. Although, if I could go back in time, the only game I would wish I had used a recommendation guide for would be Piofiore, because I think that perhaps I would have avoided hate Dante if I had played his route before Orlok's
 
I always play the route of the LI that get my attention first before I do the recommended order. I always treat my first playthrough as the introduction to what I should expect from the game. If it does contain spoilers tho it only serves to make me curious about how everything unravels on other routes.
 
Personally, I rarely follow recommended order and just play the routes that attract my attention the most. Don't really like it when they force a certain route order on u or lock routes as I rarely have the time to play or just don't like them at best and skip all the way through

I usually play in route order, but if I particularly like someone, I'll play them earlier than recommended.
 
First round i tend to go with whoever catches my eye. Sometimes the character i am interested in is locked though 😂

i usually follow the route suggestions from half-adder, short happier routes first, then the dark ones later hshs// I like doing bad ends first as well , keeping the best for last haha
 
I let my heart decided cause 1) let's be honest if I chose the guy I'm most interested in I'll stick with the story through to the end otherwise he'll bug me in the back of my head until I gave up and switched to him anyway. 2) I like the pain from my brain trying to figure it out as if i was in the story even if its confusing lol. But it never works out for me cause the guy I wanted the most usually get locked BEHIND the route of some other character route!!!!! :miku_cry:Sometimes i think I'm cursed for that ...... But I still chose to follow my heart!!!! I won't regret it lol
 
route orders bc im pretty bad at guessing which choice goes to which character/ending...and i like to go for recommended route orders to save myself from spoilers
 
route order for better story reveal flow, in games that dont have one it's just yoloing the common route and seeing where mc ends up lol. if it's a selection screen then whoevers design is most visually appealing
 
Heart through and through. Though sometimes I play the route that's meant to be played last (or second to last if last route is blocked), and end up getting so much spoilers for everything else, but I don't mind it that much
 
I always look up a route order first but if its a 'soft' route order I just play in whatever order I want.
 
I always play through the game the way I want, and not in order, cuz I generally don't care about spoilers. And, hey, first the bois, then the story 😂
