Do you use a guide or go in blind when playing otome games?

I play the first playthrough without a guide and for the other playthrough I use one

Guide! Don't have time or energy to botch up playthroughs / endings if turns out branching choices was earlier in story or random "bad" ends or it turns out every choice counts. Few times no guides were used: there's a love catch system, allowance for more variable choices, or something along those lines that makes it more obvious which character route being played.

If an otome game has a stat raising or/and calendar system > BIG YES .
If not > Blind .
If after many tries I can't get all the endings or if I just don't want to waste my time > Guide .

As much as i'd wish to go in blind I just don't have the time to commit to making mistakes and trying over again to get the good end so i really prefer using a guide

i usually use a guide but sometimes i do go in blindly just cus im too lazy to pull one up. i tend to use the guides more because i just wanna get the good ending without all the hassle of getting bad endings or those bad endings that stop u in the middle of the route, like just let me see them happy before i start getting into the bad QAQ

I prefer using a guide because I'm too lazy to replay the game if I choose the wrong route and end up with a bad ending. Especially since I don't have much time to play, I usually follow a guide to save time.

I also go blind on first route and use a guide for others. I get enough of a sense of "playing" the game without feeling like I'm wasting a bunch of time!

guide! Don't have a lot of time to play unfortunately and prefer a shortcut to getting a desired ending

I am using guide because i don't have enough time to figure out what to choose to get certain Endings. But i wish i had an opportunity to play without walkthrough

I don't use the guide when I play the game for the first time.
It would be handy if the game had a flowchart showing the route.

I always go blind. Until it's time to complete the Gallery or Extras, then I'll search up some guides

I usually play the first round blindly and then follow up with a guide for the other endings.
I do the same. I'll go in blind trying to get the character that I want, and then after I get an ending, good or bad, I use a guide to get the rest. Rinse, repeat for all LIs.

I always use a guide! Not all games have a skip to next choice button, and I am not a completionist. I prefer to get the happy/true endings...

I prefer to use a guide, because I tend to just want to go to the good ending before getting to the bad endings.

if i get a good grasp of the relationship between the ml and fl not really after playing many otome games you start to guess the correct answers but i also like to check and confirm if im correct just in case ALSO i check the guide to know when to hit save (very important)

I use a guide, solely because I don't like to get the bad ending before the good ending lol.

I think it really depends on the length of the game for me or the options we get! I'm not usually a huge fan of bad endings (unleses it's like a horror type deal) and love to get the best endings with all cgs but I normally do try to go in as blind as I can unless I'm stuck on something.

No guides for first playthrough, next playthroughs are mix of guessing and peeking at guides at certain points

I use guides/walkthroughs all the time because I want to use my time wisely! As a college student with little free time, I'd rather feel good in reading rather than having to restart a whole game because I started with a route I didn't like or with a bad ending.
