Same experience!! Somehow the games makes me more sleepy than reading books...
although they help me sleep pretty well. This is some crazy science

There are people who don't like to read a lot. I don't feel sleepy because I'm enjoying it. Maybe you play before going to sleep
 
I also feel sleepy when I play otome games when I lay on my bed but otherwise I don't feel that way
 
the same for me lol. I usually get really tired or bored and divert my attention elsewhere unless the story has me hooked or i'm trying to forcing myself to finish it.
 
Saaame! Especially when I play on my switch, because I tend to lay down while I play.
