Do you prefer playing with MC illustration on or off?

I used to leave it on but once there was a game with a weak MC and she just cried so much and that was the first time I manually search the option to turned it off. After that, I'll just turn it off in every game that has the option to do so because I found it easier to focus. (I do turn it on for a short while if MC change clothes though)
 
I prefer to leave it on. It's interesting to see how the character reacts to the events that happen to her
 
i prefer leaving it on. i dont really like self-inserting and its nice to have a visual for the character
 
I prefer keeping it off. I am a self-insert player so it helps me get more into the moment. It is really case by case for me though... I sometimes turn it on if I am in the mood, but most of the time I would rather have the "faceless" experience for better immersion.

I don't self insert, there hasn't been a time where I turned it off. but maybe if i really disliked the mc, then I would for my sanity
 
I keep it on because I like MC designs and seeing her with different outfits (if available) and expressions!
 
99% of the time off, I am a self-inserter so yeah. I've let it on only during... my first diabolik lovers playthrough?? And more recently on Mistonia's hope. I vibe with the "disguised" design.
 
always on because I don't self insert and see MCs as their own characters + their designs are so cute
 
Huge preference for on. Three of my last four reads have had no MC sprite and it's making me sad.
 
I preferer off so it can only change the expresion when they talk about certain things

def on, I like to see their reaction and I'm not really into self-insert, some of the MC expression and reaction are entertaining too for me haha
 
I selfinsert so i like to keep it on whenever i relate to an mc but if i find them annoying or so different from me then I'll turn it off
