I often feel sleepy while playing otome games

I get it. Since it's a game that's mostly just text, it makes sense that it can make you sleepy sometimes. It's basically a lot of reading, after all — especially if you're already tired.

Do you feel sleepy playing the game in your profile picture too? The stats stress me out instead of lulling to sleep
I feel that, especially if you are playing the first one and trying to get the ending with Kazuki with his high standards or having the girls "friends" competing with you for the boys and activating bombs XD

I think I really do like otome games... but they just make me so sleepy... I hope no one takes offense.
I feel the same way. I think it's common since we spend so much time reading, and if I'm playing otome game lying in bed I get sleepy really fast lol

I completely get that! I also feel really sleepy when playing usually. At these times I tend to take a break , or just pour an amount of coffee into my system, that I'm not even willing to admit to. 😂 Or, well just sleep, and get back to playing later when I'm in the mood!

When it comes LIs who I don't like or find boring I feel it tedious but not all otome games are for everyone and we all have different tastes so. But when I feel sleepy I just stop refresh and start again later.

I totally understand! If the story is really interesting, it will blow away your sleepiness, but if it's just average, you'll fall asleep.

Yeah, not many otome games have a great pace to stay interesting all the time.. So my advice is to play for about 30 minutes to an hour at a time so you don't get bored too quickly!

I also feel sleepy while playing but it's usually because I play at night and I'm already tired and ready to sleep I can't even count how many times I've fallen asleep while playing lol

As someone who's constatly sleep-deprived and stressed, I can tell that when I'm finally in a relaxed setting (usually on my bed lol) and have free time my body simply sees it as a sign to rest. And it doesn't care much about my need to romance some 2D boys sigh

Sometimes it happens to me even if i was so excited to play 🙆🏻‍♀️

same here, its like a sleeping drug, i just could play for about two hours then stop or fallen asleep

I'm the same way. So when I'm playing a game and I just can't stay awake anymore, I usually stop and go to bed.

I've lost count of the times I've dozed off while playing games in bed and had my handheld console crash into my face.
I just can't seem to fight off those sudden bouts of sleepiness (><)

I'm the same, I get sleepy very easily. After playing for about half an hour, I tend to fall asleep. Recently, I came up with a method: whenever I feel drowsy, I start doing squats.

I get sleepy because the times I usually have to play my otomes are late at niiight! That is what happened to me last night, I was playing around 11 - 1AM and then knocked out. I woke up to see that my switch had died and I didn't save. :'D Thank goodness for auto skip options!

I usually play otome games before bed, and that helps me wind down and get sleepy. 🥱

Yeah I'm the same, but at times when I wake up in the morning I forget certain things that happens in the otome games I play since I was also half-awake playing them :'D

yes, actually i usally get sleepy or half awake while playing but if the story is getting interesting suddenly my eyes are wide open lmao

Same here! I definitely had moments where I was nodding off during a route, so I decided to call it a night. But the second I got into bed, I was suddenly wide awake. It is like my brain was playing a trick on me.
