it's hard for me to get invested into anything that doesn't have major female characters, so i always grativate to vns/dating sims that are either otome, yuri or bishoujo. the settings and the way romance is done in otomes is usually my favourite kind so i have to go with otomes

,,,,I'm gonna cheat and go with amare games (pratically games like andromeda six, a date with death, when the night comes, etc.) ! Maybe it's because I'm a lot into interactive fictions games too lately (where you can usually choose your own gender) so I'm turning towards amare games for visual novels which kind of do similiar things like ifs games

Otome games. I love BL games but there's not a lot of them out in general compared to otome games.

I am BL-curious, so to say, but! Hear me out! Every single BL game I started has some god damn ANGST. Can't we just have a happy story for once?!

I play both otome games and BL, but if I had to choose one, I prefer BL for some reason, even though they are in a significant minority

No offense to BL games but I have a higher standard for them compared to otome games. So yeah I will pick otome games.

I love BL and I love GL, but when it comes to otome games we have to admit that the stories are usually much better developed, and the industry is much bigger too so I don't have to wait years for a good new release >.<

I'm more ambivalent on BL since the ones I've experienced seemed more geared toward shock value than actual narrative cohesion and character driven plot, which is what I value most...so otome wins it! They are both amazing mediums though and I hope I'd never have to actually choose one over the other permanently

I choose BL game. It might just be me. At least, in BL game, you will see more women (background characters) more than seeing in Otome sometimes. It is more balance in world-building, I guess. Even though, they seem to be a bit too colorful or rainbow-ish.

I love BL, but if I had to spend the rest of my life playing only one type of game, I'd choose otome games.
BL is the joy of watching a beautiful romance unfold.
Otome games let you self-insert and actually experience being loved by your favorite character.
If it's for the rest of my life, I'd want to live in that romance.

BL games are really niche.
That's precisely why they're so special to me.
Otome games are fun too, but if I absolutely had to choose, I'd probably go with a BL games.
