Which otome game have you started and never finished?

Jack Jeanne. How I hate rhythm games and life simulators. I know the novella is cool, but this is unbearable... I want to smash my laptop. Although I really like the character designs and the heroine's voice acting.
Oh my god, and Dandelion, I still couldn't get the good endings. I was constantly annoyed by the main character's colleague, even though I seemed to be leveling up the heroine well... I had to read other people's routes, which is a shame. I liked Nameless from the same studio, it doesn't have this nonsense with progression.

oof my neverending backlog dungeon... sometimes i go back and remember aah this is why i dropped this game.....

some of them are:
- cendrillon palika
- code realize (IM SORRY 😭🤚 i cant get past the prologue loool maybe bcs i watched the anime first)
- collar malice 💀 again, it's spoiler issue. i've been spoiled by my friend abt the whole plot
- princess arthur (dont really like the premise)
- amnesia later, world (i only enjoyed amnesia memories)
- nekketsu bukatsu trigger kiss ( im stuck in nojiken's route, probs will try to resume playing again)
- chouchou jiken lovesodic (stuck in suwabe's route 😅 im planning to finish all of the routes!! trust)
- etc........... (i cant really remember all)

in general, it's always backlog > finished game for me

I don't usually drop a game forever and always end up coming back to finish it, but one that I have absolutely no plans to finish is Sympathy Kiss. I found the LIs uninteresting and the MC doesn't seem to have much presence.

Cupid Parasite? I heard that the game have interesting choices/game play? but I'm not into modern setting games unless detective/dark themes... even if it seems to have fantasy elements but I can't get pass the prologue... I'm still in dilemma bcs it's a famous game. also the game with real historical person too... especially Sengoku/Shinsengumi as a whole game... I like game with original plots more (but I'm interest in birushana so I might play it someday...)

I rarely finish vns, so its easier to say ones that are finished. I return to some from time to time, but then drop again, it's an infinite circle...

But i probably will never complete:
- Hana Awase (I don't like Iroha to read his disk, and i just can't finish Himeutsugi-hen because of Hime)
- Re:Birthday (played it with friend, reading two LIs each, so neither me or she completed it to unlock secret route of hot teacher Nami.)
- Jack Jeanne (unfinished Kisa's route)
- Cupid Parasite (just not my type of game)
- Collar x Malice (never finished last route)
- Virche (unfinished final route)

For some unknown reason i drop many otomes when i get to secret/locked/true routes... I often enjoy first 2-4 routes, and trying to keep most interesting characters as the last ones, so when the final route unlocks i usually switch to another vn :D

I finish novels if I really really like it, but lately I dropped Nil Admirari no Tenbin because of the slow pace and boring setting... I want to finish it just because of Satoi art style

Jooubachi no Oubou Menou Hen. It was a terrible experience. I don't even remember how I got into this otome, but I regretted that decision after the very first route. The MC is extremely naive and can't stand up for herself, but I could have put up with that somehow, but the LIs... they're awful. I have nothing against 18+ scenes in games, but only if they are well written and the characters have normal relationships. Here, it's the opposite: the LIs tormented the poor MC as much as they could. Maybe for some people, this otome isn't so bad, and that's fine. But I couldn't get through this.

Also - Re:Birthday Song ~Koi o Utau Shinigami~. It seems like a good plot, nice art, and a star-studded seiyuu, but I didn't like the game in a certain way because of the MC, Cocoro. She is too naive and trusting, and she has no personality at all.

I started kannou mukashi banashi I think 2 years ago its kinda different than other games I've played though never finished it because I rarely had time but maybe someday I'll finish it

Jack jeanne. I really liked the first route that I played, but I got bored of the common route after a while with skipping too, and for some reason I didnt return to complete is. Eventually when I have the mood for it I'll finish it. Otherwise I've yet to drop a game completely without the intention of finishing it.

Steam prison, and london detective mysteria. The guys doesn't interest me at all, I do love the mc though.

It's the most memorable of the few games that 7'carlet didn't finish. Time hasn't gone by for a few days and there aren't many events, but when I suddenly saw people falling in love, I thought I couldn't do it, so I stopped.

Jack Jeanne, Tokimeki memorial I found those too repetitive so they have been unfinished for years now

Hana Awase... I finished Mizuchi's volume and really enjoyed the card game grind but couldn't really get into Hime's volume :(

For me it's usually an LI I'm just not that interested in that gets me stuck indefinitely. I don't want to skip the route because I always want to finish the whole game, so I end up postponing it forever. For example, it took me over a year to finish Birushana because I got stuck on Benkei (sorry, Benkei fans 😭). After that, the rest was a smooth ride. The most recent one on hold is Piofiore: Episodio 1926 - I'm currently stuck on Orlok's route. 🤷‍♀️

The art style and story of Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 7 are very appealing, but I really don't enjoy the combat. Do otome games really need to be this complicated?

Bad Apple Wars because PS Vita emulator for PC still not fully supported this game

Dairoku something, I can't remember why but I think it was because a lot of otome games came out at that time? And I got distracted... I remember liking what I played from it, so I need to go back when I have time and play it properly

i started hakuoki but never actually finished it lol there are just SO many boys and routes that i kind of got overwhelmed 😭 one day when i have a lot of patience i swear i'll go back and play every single route though because i do want to experience all of them eventually

ひめひび Another Princess Days ~White or Black
I gave up on the game. I just couldn't stand the fact that they called themselves "unicorns."

Not a completionist at all, so most games I play are dropped or stalled, I'm exhausted and seek to play more quality games. The last game I marked as dropped was 'Out of the Ocean' by ebi-hime, and the developer releases too many games for even half of them to be solid. I don't remember its otome counterpart, maybe it was also something from a 'Western' creator.

P. S. It was 'Cafe 0' by ROSEVERTE, whose native language is not Japanese, but I don't know if she is from an English-speaking country.

olysoi... i KNOW it's good, and i know akaza is the best but i never fully moved on from riku (for some reason, also he's the first recommended route LOL), and no matter what route i did after, my heart was NOT in it... also, the flashbacks, so many flashbacks.

I heard Russian translators cut off a lot of the repetitive flashbacks, so there is this audience that experiences the game better due to this change
