Do you use a guide or go in blind when playing otome games?

I start playing thinking that for the first 'round' I'll go with my gut, but then anxiety gets me and I end up looking up a guide XD

First run without a guide, then with a guide, bc I don't have time to do every route blind((

there's something that compels me to use a guide even though its just an otome so i really shouldn't. i always say to myself ill do the first route without knowing anything but then i look up reviews and walkthroughs anyways

back when i had much free time, blind. nowadays, i prefer to use a guide to get the good ending on first try and save time.

I like to use walkthroughs. This way, I can collect all the characters' full endings and all the CGs. I have a collecting mania.

저는 모든 엔딩과 CG를 보고 싶어서 공략집을 참고합니다. 같은 게임을 반복해서 플레이하면 금방 질리는 편이라, 최대한 적은 횟수로 모든 콘텐츠를 즐기려고 노력해요. 이런 습관은 오토메 게임뿐만 아니라 다른 게임에도 마찬가지입니다.

I usually blindly enter, only knowing the character image on the game cover. Because everyone has different preferences.

I prefer to use guide cause I usually want to see all bad endings first and watch Happy ending at last

i use guides if there's one because i don't want to waste my time on basic and repeating bad endings without cg. (͡°³͡°) also i'm like the others like to 100% vns, if i go blind from the beginning i might get lost.

I typically go blind but there are games where its just super hard to discern what's right or not due to the translation

It really depends. Thanks to the Love Catch system, it's become much easier to follow routes. But I still always have a guide open because I want to reach everything. And I'm just too lazy to search for things myself.

99% of the time I'll use a guide, but rarely I'll get that feeling of "let me just wing it and see where this goes", then I stumble head-first into a bad end and pull up the guide anyway 😅

It depends on the game and the amount of time I have lol, I'd say 50/50, but it's really satisfying making the right choices without using a guide!!

i like using guides bc i prefer to play the routes in the recommended order so i dont accidentally spoil parts of the story or mess up the intended experience
