In the past, I was quite enthusiastic about checking ryuugames or anime-sharing every few days to see what new and interesting things were up, but for the past few months, I've only been disappointed.

Day by day, a significant number of games, manga, and CGs using AI-generated imagery are becoming increasingly popular on these websites, making my interests seem dull.

Not all old games are great, or at least suitable for me, but I still find more enjoyment in games created by human hands, regardless of their quality.

I feel like real Japan Adult games are dying, slowly replace by fake one. Is this the end?

well, eroges have been on the decline for years now...
ClockUp, Lilith, rootnuko and many other studio barely make VN anymore...
you got Appetite putting 1hr games every month, Orcsoft put out a game here and there, Valkyirie does the same every few months
Lilith has invested so much in merch and that Taimanin RPG and aren't interested in making eroge anymore
Clockup are completely silent, luckily Empress is releasing a brand new game next year with a new IP and it's a long game based on the price tag, Lune are releasing 2 games back to back.
so yeah, it is worrisome...

Find a way to sell Eroge to Western audiences that bypass some payment processors that censors stuff...

Eroge died off because people play ero on Gacha and Online Browser Games, but I believe in a new era of Eroge where Black Male Characters can star alongside White Heroines too, so it's time we push for a new era of diverse Eroge where both men from various backgrounds of Asians, Whites and Black can become the MC in Fukkin' Cute Anime Waifus.

Just like Japanese buying trends change, my own preferences change to the point I now only want to see Black Male MCs in my Eroges, and I don't care what race of people makes such Eroges as long as the art style is Eroge enough.

Gacha games are just horrible. If I want to gamble, I will go gamble. I don't want a pachinko disguised as an eroge. I play games to escape from the reality. Gacha games are not games, they are more like chores you have to do.

The companies that make vn were always looking to maximize profits. Whether by making low effort slop without AI - MIEL, appetite, etc
And now using AI.

Japanese works are dwindling year by year.
Seeing New Year's greeting illustrations at the end of each year still moves me to tears.
All I can do is hope they'll release new works.

unfortunately commercial eroge releases did slow down quite a bit, with more and more of the companies switching to either sfw or gacha or both. your best bet is to look into doujin games, which are still released steadily, but theres so much ai trash among them you literally have to filter every single entry by hand

however not all is lost! for example, limelight lemonade jam is very recent, and some say its the best yuzuge yet; clockup has several titles in production; sei shoujo's new game is releasing in a couple of months (according to vndb). unfortunately even the shittiest gacha will generate more revenue than a middle-scale visual novel, which is why devs switch to them instead, but i seriously doubt vns, and eroge, as a whole will die out. visual novels as a medium will probably just go back to its niche, circle-producing self. human desire to create will never be truly killed

I think long VN with good complex plot are inherently becoming less popular since most people nowadays are too addicted to short videos and the like, which is also why I see many people buying books, but very few reading them. Add in the increasing cost of VA, and you can understand why VN/Eroge seem like a poor investment from business perspective. AI will soon exit the honeymoon phase and when the bubble pops, it will just become a mock up tool for developer/artists. AI art has a distinct style and I don't think consumers will continue to get fooled once they are habituated with AI. But, we will see what happens.

In this world money is the way of voting, buy games that you consider worthy of your money if you can, pirate or ignore games that use AI.

And if we try hard enough, we can learn to do H art, and an H game, most of us have the chance to say "fine, I'll do it myself"
