The theme of this work was probably considered sensitive, which led to some reports. I guess the previous takedowns happened for similar reasons. I'd suggest compressing future works into ZIP files before sharing, just to stay safe and avoid getting blocked again.

P.S. I just checked, and I'm personally not interested in that kind of work. However, it seems that everything except the ones compressed into ZIP files has been reported and taken down. Meanwhile, the regular and more popular works are still up, which clearly shows that the others were specifically reported.

I think, like you, that someone is sabotaging it and not showing up. I wouldn't believe it was the creator of this animation himself who was doing it, because he would have posted some information about it.And in addition, he had a compressed folder, for example sanjiku with nina, so it's not a coincidence.

Most of the times, creators are keenly aware of redistribution but they simply prefer not to poke around too much. Bunch of those folks are kind enough to understand circumstance and clever enough not to make a kind person need to go the extra length just to do the job. Someone still HAS to sponsor you if they want to share - and that free sharing part usually never goes over a small niche of their followers versus the paying subs.

Sometimes they get "obsessive" and it's about number insecurity, sometimes it's about integrity/morals.. sheer profit, even.
I've seen loyal fans link and report exactly where and who was sharing their content, making everyone aware of the tools and allowing them to spread word (especially for the Japanese side, as one would expect); and I've seen a bunch of perfectly talented mmders just stop and leave after finding out that they were being shared occasionally.

Morals wise, you can usually look at the amount of active visitors on sharing sites and compare to the creator's subs to get an idea, or even more so, active downloads on a release.
Arguing on what's right or prosecuting is whatever for as long as there's demand, a new way to meet it will just come out.

Do support the creators you enjoy sometimes, though. Some people really keep the art on its legs and deserve knowing.
