MMD discussion and sharing

CBX, sugardust

To put both on the same categpry seems like an insult to sugardust, since the latter is the one actually creating the animations, while the former take Sugar's SD and mass produce by swapping characters

Although, Sugardust might sin with their "extra" releases, since those are character swaps.

That said, I'm gonna bookmark your comment to search a couple of your recommendations~

EDIT: Another pretty good creator is Arisananades and its collaborators, peak videos.

Can anyone recommend some creators who do manual stripteases? Not the kind where the clothes suddenly disappear when the camera cuts to a different angle.
Thank you very much.

Although you may already know him, Kiido-san is really great.

This author disappeared for over a year, but has now returned (probably).

There are videos labeled as "striptease," but they may not actually involve stripping. You need to judge for yourself. ;)

This video immediately popped into my head.
well... it's not be the manual striptease you want, though.

By the way, I was surprised when I searched my drives. Most of the videos changed the characters' clothes with cut transitions(i never realised it all) but, some videos made it look more natural by having the clothes flow down from the body.

I guess creating animations of taking clothes off is difficult, isn't it?

I didn't mean to demean anyone by listing them in either list and it's missing some context because I was just rattling the creators from the top of my head.
I listed sugardust because I remember the creator often utilizing a lot of characters from Mihoyo games while I listed cbx/orange-half-god for either reusing animations or using koikatsu models (although they use a lot of Mihoyo character models, as well).
I would also list ngon into the upper list because their releases are very samey and with reused animations but many others would consider this creator to be top-tier. It's all about context and if the creator's works clicks with you.

MMD animations with manual undressing are quite rare, since it takes a lot of effort to adjust every single frame to make it look right. So, what you usually see are:

  1. A cut in the scene where the clothes are suddenly gone (editing transition).
  2. Clothes naturally falling off to show undressing.
  3. Clothes suddenly bursting into nudity (like the "Saint Seiya armor break" lol).
  4. Actual manual undressing or half-undressing.

By the way, as a side note — KK, HS2, and VAM don't have that kind of function, so they can only fake undressing through editing.

This one (link) is from a creator who retired but came back, and does manual undressing.

And this one (link) is an example from a creator who uses the natural falling clothes style.

That's it for now — I'll recommend more if I think of others later.

100% this.

If you look at the authors from 4 to 6 years ago (or more even) that made sexdance stuff at the time, you'll notice that most of them are waaay better than the guys making stuff today. Consider the tech difference, back when MMD was *way* more limited & blender was still a massive, unwieldy clusterfkk that was incredibly user hostile in a bunch of ways. Maya as always was very expensive but also highly impractical for individual use. Etc.

Also remember that PC hardware has advanced significantly while getting a lot cheaper... despite all of this, guys like Krag, Kuro@vov, Modesto & others, still made better stuff years ago than the vast majority of sex dance videos made today. That's because they actually put effort into their stuff and made videos with flow rather than re-arranging the chairs in the same room over & over.

....

I've been seeing so much lazy, uninspired crap come out recently that I'm starting to think maybe even I could do better. We'll see.
I did some research and the reason is...fair I guess, idk about you guys opinion. The main reason is because MMD very hard to use because it mainly read japanese file according to my research, so to use it in English is very hard. While KKS can read everything even English and JP. Plus you don't even have to do much to make it work, everything is there and you just piece it together. For VAM I have no comment or complain since it there from the beginning of Iwara and it have decent fandom. Last one is Blender which possibly requires you to go study, I'm not sure. But anyway, reason why you see KKS video growth like mushrooms is because it's so easy and friendly to use, which make the quality look questionable (I don't mean to insult anyone, if you like it, fair)
