it says there's a new update. After i open the game it just closed instantly asking me to update the game.

You can block the game's access to the internet in your firewall to bypass that force close.

Yeah I tried it. Assuming your on windows, go to your control panel > windows defender firewall > advanced settings > click on "Outbound Rules" on the left > click on "New Rule" on the right > select "Program" > select "This program path" and browse to where you extracted the game to and select the MaidKidnappingDiary.exe > select "Block this connection" > leave everything checked > name it whatever > click finish. Should work after that.

thanks, it finally worked after i manually put in the file location instead of selecting it from the list. need the correct user but the firewall list written as %userprofile% which is not correct. Cheers!
