I don't wanna make it sound like I'm accusing him of being a fraud or anything. Just saying that there's no proof of his actual credentials. With DeepL + editing who knows if people online actually know Japanese (anyone who knows how to speak good English could claim to be an actual translator)...

Definitely 1. A big part of the excitement for me is first seeing how far it goes through MC's perspective and then learning how it got there with the wife's perspective.

I'm in a discord server with him, I doubt it's going to be actual NTR. The guy seems to like netorase more and the only game I know he's working on that's close to NTR is the shota anim swapping game.
