I'd say choices! If there's a lot of text and not much to keep my attention, I tend to zone out and skip a lot lol. Not that I do this with books, but with VNs I just can't help it idk why. For games it's more fun when they have more choices, even if it is only flavor text.

They're a lot more my speed than fantasy, i think it's more engaging reading something that i can relate to

Getting the bad ending first kind of traumatizes me lol. I always use a guide on my first playthrough to make sure I don't end up with it.

When I start a game, I always tell myself I'm gonna 100% it, but I almost never do lol. I just don't have the attention span for it.

Otome, but really GL actually lol. I used to like BL a lot, but these days even yaoi manga kinda annoy me. They tend to focus heavily on the sexual side of things and lean into darker storylines, which aren't really my thing.

If there's a character I like, I'll play it, but I think most gacha otome games lack romance lol. They keep the meaningful romantic options behind a paywall, and they don't even impact the main story, it's tiring.

Well, for me, I'm always looking for the token female love interest in otome games. If there's one, it's almost certain I'll play it, but if not, I don't care about the art or the plot, I just need at least one character I'm into personality-wise

I think I was 12. I loved Utapri and Brothers Conflict and was always trying to find media with WLW in it, so I would always end up stumbling upon otome games with at least one token female love interest lol, dark times.
