I do not self insert because the mcs never have the reacions i would have in game hahaha, so i prefer set mcs, with their own personality and appearence, background etc, because i would cuss out a lot of people in most mcs situations.
I do not really care and even watched a couple of them olaying on twitch, vn games tend to be story driven and lots have set protags so i can see the appeal.
Yes, but i lack the abilty to drawn(for now) and my english is bad (for now), i wanted to do a fun, lightweight quick transmigration story, with lots of face slaping, but without the casual misogyny some of the stories in the genre have.
As someone who does not self insert in games, the MAIN CHARACTER should be compelling for you to follow along so i prefer them having a personality of their own that is NOT dependent on which route they are on(many times it flip flops) and for the story not be able to exist without them, because...
That sounds lke a bug ooohhhh you missed the selection, I prefer for them to use the tag amare because as a woman who romances women i rarely play otome games nowdays, i think they just use to get more attention as the games published there are indie games by small studios or single developer...
The one where mc and the Love Interest interacted as kids and somehow promises something (normally it is to be together forever) and that promise keeps them hooked on the mc forever, that was on kindergarden....move on.. no way your memory is THAT good.
I only oplay for the characters i am interested on, but if they have to be unlocked then yes i am playing 10%, i should try playing evrything to finish because many times i ended up actually liking a route i thought i would not, but i am lazy.
On visual novels i do not care so much about the amount and more if they are impactful ,ya know? I think the visual aspect helps, i just feel like it is harder to deliver with too much branching and some plays might be longer than others.
