It depends. If it's a plot heavy game or heroine has her own personality, I keep the default name. If it's something like a stats raising otome (tokimemo etc), then I go with my own name.
It was either Kent from Amnesia or Himuro sensei from tokimemo.
This reminds me, I had no idea how tokimemo system worked so I got my other men stolen by the friend characters all the time.
I tell myself I'm into mature, sane and caring characters, yet I always go for tsundere or obsessive characters. Bonus points if they're easily embarrassed or have a pathetic side
Birushana. I read that my favorite character changes his personality completely and becomes more normal in general. So I've decided not to play the fan disk ever
The art is often not my cup of tea, also western developers tend to make the romance realistic while playing super safe, so the whole thing is even less appealing to me.
I don't mind when the main character likes cleaning and cooking (i wish it were me) or is a little bit shy. But when the author takes it too far and makes *a submissive cooking doormat* her entire personality, that's a nope from me.
I like both, but commercial all-ages otome has been a hit or miss for me lately. Thankfully I still find BL very fun and some of the BL creators pander to my exact needs (Ooe, Lesson)
